Midwest City Bombers vs. Del City Eagles was a hell of a rivalry back when I was in High School.

Mike's brother, Cale, was the QB in some of the match ups that I remember.
Cale went to OU (the dark side ) and quarterbacks there. He is still on the OU coaching staff. You must be from Del City.

You musta missed all of the conflict he's had at Okie State and the sniffing around he's done over the last few years.

If he has a chance to go to a premier program he will no doubt leave if it is the right fit.
I guess so. I was not aware he was ever discontented with the school or his job.

Beating Wisconsin in their title game will give them a big boost.
I don't think it will be enough to move them into the Top 4. The B1G conference isn't good enough, and Ohio State's schedule isn't very tough compared to other teams fighting for the same spot.

Yep, I lived in Del City and was closer to Del City High School but everyone in my neighborhood was bussed to Douglass, an OKC School which was about 5 miles further away.

And I definitely remember Cale at OU. He held all the sooners passing records prior to the Stoops era QBs.

Muschamp doesn't have to be a DC. He could get a low end P5 job or high end lower level HC job if he wants it. He proved himself enough as a recruiter to be offered one.
That's true but the profile would not be as high at a lower level school and would his recruiting staff follow him there.

His time at Florida was a disaster so I don't think he would be in demand for those quality on the cusp lower level jobs.

Ron Zook got Illinois immediately after his stint in Gainesville. Not a great program, but it's a better level job than a DC gig anywhere. I expect Muschamp could do the same. Perhaps Northwestern if UF decides Fitzgerald is the right fit.

Zook had winning records at Florida if I remember correctly he was just not at Spurrier level.

Muschamp has been a disaster his ability to lead a program has to be called into question.

I think Muschamp would be better off seeking an NFL DC job than becoming the HC at Troy or SMU.

Don't agree with the order, but the 4 teams are right to me. FSU should be #1 and I think Ohio St eventually is the 4th team in.

Bama shooting up to #1 is lame, but the 4 is probably right. Still think Baylor should be ahead of TCU.

Pretty much agree. Bama must give good reach arounds. Still, the top 4 is correct. I don't think FSU is really really good but they've earned the rankin until proven otherwise.

Of the top 4 the team I am least impressed with is Mississippi State.

What's so unimpressive about wins @ LSU, Texas A&M and Auburn? FSU probably would have went 1-2 in that stretch.
It's their lack of offensive versatility that I dont care for. They are fine with a low scoring contest but it if they ever play a team that scores alot with a good defensive i think they are kaput

Those teams don't exist. Nobody is more balanced this year. Oregon, TCU, Baylor and FSU are all offense. Bama has both, but they only managed 25 on them because Miss St's D is solid themselves. Had Prescott not been so careless with the ball, Miss St possibly wins that game.

I think Oregon would slice and dice them.

It'll be a replay of the Oregon/Auburn BCS title game. The SEC defense will show up and limit this high powered finesse offense with their physicality and Oregon's D will be too small to stop the power running QB.
