I honestly would too but if the player is there that has great value you take him. We obviously need the positions that you mentioned but if the RB is better than anyone left at that point you take him.
Yeah...I mean you have to be smart and take BPA too, but I think we have to throw waves at the DL right now to take us to the next level.

That being said...having a guy like Gurley would be very exciting. Just wonder what his recovery time will be and if he will basically just have a redshirt rookie year...I don't like that, we've had too much of those.

This is what I was about to say, follow the talent.

If a guy like Abduallah or especially Gordon is there I have a hard time seeing many, if any safeties or DL's ranked higher. I'm not going to reach on a RB just for the hell of it but I think we could take advantage by adding a very talented RB in the 2nd because of how the league devalues the position.

DL is obviously my first priority but I also think it's very likely that we go DL in the first, and knowing our front office I doubt we go DL in the 1st and 2nd.

Most ACL's take 9-10 months I believe, and some guys come back after 6 or 7, so he might miss most of pre-season/training camp but I bet he'd be back by about October at the latest. This isn't Derrick Rose we're talking about here.

Dallas already has a RB like Gurley.

We go into the 2nd and you have a chance at Abdullah/Gordon...then some defensive guys like Striker, Edwards, Prewitt, Dupree, Beasley, Bennett...it would be interesting to say the least.

I'd throw Duke Johnson in there with Abduallah and Gordon as guys I'd really look hard at in the 2nd, after that you have guys like Yeldon, Langford and Tevin Coleman who I'd probably wait until the 3rd for.

Big difference between Gurley and the backs in the draft over the last 10 years is how good he is. And let's not forget, passing on RBs high is a new concept. Trent Richardson was a top 5 guy just a few seasons ago. Just cause Lacy went later than expected doesn't mean this will be a yearly pattern.
Yea, but you have a great back in Gordon that will be available who some already believe is a better back, and then you have Abdullah too.

So Gurley with his knee issue isn't this guy who is way way better than his peer.

I not only think he can fall to the 2nd, I think he most certainly does.

That's what struggling to beat a bottom feeder will do to you. Of course, it's probably not fair that they are ahead of Baylor anyhow.

They aren't. Baylor is tied for 5th now.

They are behind Baylor though in the poll that actually counts.

They are behind Baylor in almost every poll, except the AP.

The last ranking had them in the playoffs and Baylor out.
Yeah, no doubt. Just haven't seen this week's playoff rankings... do they update them weekly or less often?

Ok, but they were and had they beat Kansas by 40 than they probably still would be.

As an aside, those are just power rankings. The playoff ranking hasn't come out yet.
