If you're wondering if I think it is possible for Adrian Peterson to line up at RB and play for the Dallas Cowboys, then yeah man, it's possible. But, as I've already stated, AP has an injury history about as extensive as Murray's (hell, one of the knocks on Peterson coming out of college was that he was injury prone), so while you can act like that is some big advantage he holds over Murray, it isn't. Then you factor age into the equation, and the idea of dropping Murray for AP becomes even less attractive. Then, the price. Despite his off the field issues he's had this year, Peterson is still going to command a decent dollar. And I'm sure there are teams out there more willing than we would be to shed such coin for him. I don't think you're looking at a gigantic price difference between the two players.
And then, you have the character concerns. Hitting the kid with a switch, yeah, it's old school, it was how he was brought up, blah blah blah. I can look past that. It's the reports that he used his own charity money to fund orgies, and getting high while on bail that have to raise some red flags. Murray has been, and continues to be, nothing but a class act. Plus, who knows what a year off is going to do to a player? I'll tell you what I do know; Murray is the best RB in football right now. The offensive line in front of him isn't going anywhere, and it's going to get better. But if you think walking away from all that, bringing in a 30 year old guy who either knowingly just about pissed his career down the drain, or is just that ignorant, is a good idea, then I don't know what to tell you.
