I did, but never played it.

So it's good, huh? I will have to go ahead and give it a shot then.

It is. Actually let me know if you want to get on sometime and try it. It's a co-op Contra-style retro side scrolling shooter.... except it has RPG elements (weapon and character upgrading). It's pretty sweet.

I have it for PC as well and have been playing 4 player with my friends.

Picked up The Evil Within and Shadow of Mordor yesterday.

Evil is a new survival horror game made by the guy who created the Resident Evil series and SOM is a hack and slash game very similar to the Batman Arkham games but set in The Lord of the Rings universe.

Both games got excellent reviews and I needed something new to play, so why not? :art

Most of us have always been Playstation heads.
Damn. I've got the One. P.O.S.

The kinect (which was already a joke to begin with) broke on me after about 6 months, which is a fairly common issue. You just don't hear about it much because no one gives a shat. Now just the other day, the right thumbstick on my controller is drifting upwards pretty aggressively for no reason. That console isn't even a year old. The only reason I went Xbox is because I'm a huge Halo fan, and most of my buddies were going to get the One as well.

Worst $500 I can say I've ever spent, though.

Most XB360 folks moved over to PS4.

Destiny is the new Halo anyway, right? At least, that's what a lot of Halo fans say.

I mean, it plays and feels like a Halo game. It's very smooth, the only notable difference in gameplay being the class abilities, and aiming down the sights. But, despite the futuristic sci-fi setting, the buck stops there. In my opinion, the multiplayer is a joke, and the actual single player aspect of it is very underwhelming outside of combat. Once you reach the 20th rank, the leveling system is wonky, to me. Killing enemies matters nil at that point, and you have to find gear that has a certain "light" rating to level up. The story is also total crap, and because Bungie held back on in-game content at launch in favor of releasing DLC ($$$), you're left with a paper thin experience. Doing the same 3-4 raids over and over and over again gets very boring and tedious.

I agree with you.

It's not really my type of game, but a bunch of friends were getting and I'm a sucker for co-op games, so I went ahead and made the plunge. It was fun doing the story missions, but those didn't last very long and all you're left with is a super repetitive game, as you pointed out, where all you can do is raids. The worst part is, those raids aren't even guaranteed to give you anything good.

Oh well, I'll probably end up trading it in soon.

Exactly. The game just doesn't give you an incentive to keep on playing. They can church it up all they want with weekend heroic strikes, Iron Banner and all that crap, but for a game that rang up a purported $500 million dollar development and advertising budget, I expected more.

Shadow of Mordor is an excellent game.

It's made by the same studio that did the great Batman games, and it's set in The Lord of the Rings universe.

Definitely worth a try if you guys are looking for something new to play.

Give me a full review on Shadow of Mordor. I want to buy it because I need a new game and haven't been using the PS4 much.

It's like a combination between Assassin's Creed and the Batman Arkham games, but it is far more fun and interesting than AC and the story and voice acting is excellent.

I'll post a vid in a bit of a few min of gameplay that will give you a good idea of what this game is like.

I really enjoy Assassin's creed except I get tired of the stealth shit after awhile. Obviously it's about being an Assassin so I understand it but I prefer to hack and slash. Never been a Batman guy.

Then you'll love this game.

There's more to do in this game than AC and you don't have the same repetitive, boring missions that you have in AC.

I didn't get to post the vid yesterday because of the game, but I'll get it posted tonight.
