Rangers are also interviewing Red Sox bench coach Torey Lovullo for Manager and claimed Pitcher Alfredo Figaro off waivers.

I trust John Daniels to make the right decision

Im starting to worry about him as far as the way he handles people. Fortunately he is working on that by hiring Young and possibly even Oliver to help relate with the players. There has been way too many bad breakups lately to not work on it. As far as the coach I just want to keep Maddox so whatever that takes make it happen.

Royals are looking unstoppable this postseason. I've been on their bandwagon since the postseason started.

As an aside, you know there's some degenerate gambler out there who back in March put down a few hundred bucks on the Royals to win it all just because the odds were so long.

Wright for Puig.

Cubs are reportedly interested if Puig gets shopped.

It would appear the hot stove is already burning. After calling up Javier Baez and Jorge Soler late in the season and with super prospect Kris Bryant waiting in the wings, the Chicago Cubs have all of a sudden become the sexy team to bet on to be playing in October the next couple of years. And I’d have to imagine this would help the cause immensely:

Are the Dodgers shopping Puig? You bet and the Cubs are one of several teams interested. — George Ofman (@georgeofman) October 9, 2014

Thursday, rumors starting swirling that Los Angeles was potentially interested in parting with the 23-year-old outfielder and, honestly, a Dodgers-Cubs deal would be very, very intriguing. But, seriously, is this something we should actually be paying attention to? I mean, sure, the Dodgers have a crowded outfield and someone is likely going to be dealt, but is anyone really thinking it will be Puig? Stay tuned.

The Dodgers are going to need a SS if they let Ramirez walk...good match for a deal.

He did...but maybe they can use the money elsewhere...still need a 3B too.
I think they need to resign him and use the money they get by dumping an OF in a trade for a 3B. Ethier has to go.

Moving Ethier is not going to be easy...still owed some money.

Yes but he's got to be the best option. Puig should be untouchable right now and Kemp's contract is crazy and he actually played well down the stretch. Crawford could be a movable option but Ethier should be easier.

Ethier is owed 71 mil over the next 4 years...that will not be easy to move at all. Cespedes looked untouchable, but he got dealt too. You have to move quality to get some...and they may have tired of his attitude.

General manager Andrew Friedman will leave his longstanding position as GM of the Rays to join the Dodgers, reports Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times (Twitter link). Former team president Matthew Silverman will now oversee Tampa’s baseball operations department, according to Topkin. Joel Sherman of the New York Post tweets that Friedman will be the Dodgers’ new GM.

Fire sale time. No reason to even pretend to be interested in winning anymore. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go cry in a dark room.

He's not going to know what to do with that kind of payroll.

He needs a 3B badly. He can make it up to me by sending me his top 3 prospects for Longo.
He has a better deal. We will send him Profar for Kershaw.

Feh, he doesn't need to trade away his top prospects. He can just throw money at Pablo Sandoval or whatever other decent 3B is a free agent.

If he wants to make a trade he can resign Hanley to play 3B & trade Puig for Starlin Castro. :towel
