Well, they could be doing it with a banged up Max Unger. He had his foot in a walking boot after the game. Bears watching.
Yeah, I saw Unger go out of the game and replaced. Let's hope he's still gimp, we need any breaks we can get.

I saw on a Seahawks board, their version of Hostile (think insider information) was reporting that Okung is playing poorly because of a torn labrum in his shoulder. Supposedly, they're trying to hide the injury and he'll play through the season with it, then have surgery. Nobody but the Seahawks know about the injury... ~que spooky music~

How does Joe fanboard guy have some clue about something like that? And it's not on an injury report somewhere?

The Cowboys and Seahawks defenses are each giving up about 20 points per game. The Seahawks defense has 2 INT's and 6 sacks this year. The Cowboys defense has 6 INT's and 5 sacks.

They're the better team, sure. Especially in Seattle. But I'd still say we have a puncher's chance.
If we can get solid pressure on Wilson, and even knock him down a couple of times, we have a chance. I'm trying really hard not to get sucked in, but damn...

I hate watching our defense try to run zone coverage, but I think you are right. You either spy Wilson on every passing down or you run a heavy dose of zone coverage. Hell you may have to do both.
It's too bad our most athletic LBer is hurt or he could spy Wilson.

We have the best rushing attack they will have faced. Again, the trench warfare will be one of the keys to victory, and I like our chances with this bunch. These boys
can maul, and they seem to be gaining in confidence and swagger as the season progresses.

Good thing we have a QB and RB who are all about protecting the ball.

What I don't understand is why Washington never planned to contain Russell Wilson. They would rush through the OL like it was a sieve at times, but it was like they were game-planning against a pocket passer.
we will probably do the same thing

haslett and marinelli want to get upfield and shoot the gaps

While I can't name my source (if I do, no more insider team news) I can tell you his good friend happens to be a good friend of one of the players. With that said, here's today's dish:

So Okung has a torn labrum in his shoulder. Remember he hurt it in the Broncos game? But since they have nobody to replace him he is going to get it shot up before every game the rest of the year and hope it doesn't get injured worse. He has his strength but from what I hear it hurts like hell anytime he has to use his arm to block. Oh, and nobody knows about this except the team...
Enjoy.

IMPRESSIVE COACHING

Something Dallas will likely do to distort Seattle’s matchup zone principles is align wideouts Terrance Williams and Dez Bryant on the same side. Washington had success with similar concepts Monday night on DeSean Jackson’s touchdown. The Cowboys’ white-hot running game has really helped their play-action. With so many of those play-action designs incorporating extra pass blockers early in the down, expect on Sunday to see play-caller Scott Linehan dial up plays like this:

The Cowboys controversial late first-round pick a year ago, Travis Frederick, has been the best center in football this season. He’s the driving force on an offensive line that’s chaperoned DeMarco Murray to 670 yards on the ground. Frederick is tremendous on reach-and-seal blocks, which is where a blocker off the snap must immediately cross the face of a defensive lineman who lined up over him and cheated towards the attack side of a run. Reach-and-seal blocks are the crux of great zone-blocking. And with Frederick and the Cowboys, they’ve also helped set up some man-blocking ploys, allowing guards Ronald Leary and Zack Martin to prosper.
