Kyle Orton, Tony Romo relationship was 'untenable'

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport told NFL GameDay Morning that Orton's decision to walk out on the Cowboys and sign with the Bills this summer was heavily fueled by the veteran quarterback's poor relationship with Dallas starter Tony Romo.

"The relationship, I'm told, between Kyle Orton and Tony Romo was untenable," Rapoport told NFL Media's Rich Eisen on Sunday. "They believed it could not continue, which is one reason that Kyle Orton essentially forced his way out of Dallas and signed with Buffalo as a free agent -- a move that coach Doug Marrone initially resisted because they're paying (Orton) $6 million."

What a puss. I'm sure Steve Young and Aaron Rogers are sympathetic.

How mentally weak do you have to be to get run out of town by Tony Romo? Good grief.

I do because it brings a bit of closure and shines a light on why things went down the way they did.

We all assumed Orton was either a flake who was out to steal money or that he wasn't dedicated to the game anymore.

Now we know it was likely a strained relationship between he and Romo.

I still think it was a bush league move by Orton but I kind of understand where he's coming from.

Orton was hated in Denver and Chicago I believe as well, so basically fuck him.

If he tried to wiggle out because he didn't get along with Romo then is say he IS a flake. That is weak and he doesn't deserve to lead a team if he can't handle relationship problems over bring paid millions to be a part of a team. Seriously, football takes heart and force from within. If you can't handle the pressure without of yourself you are basically a weakling.

Romo seems like an easy guy to get along with. Even T.O. liked him.

I wonder if it is something like Romo didn't like Orton's work ethic. I'll say it again: Orton didn't seem well prepared against Philadelphia.

I tend to think that Kyle Orton is a little weak minded. I agree with you that if you can't get along with romo you must be the jerk.

Screw Orton, he knew what he was signed for and he got his money. Have fun milking The Bills dry, you overrated parasite.
