That's my thoughts as well that the sports writer should be addressing but it doesn't offer a solution to restricting ticket sales to opponent fans.

My approach? I don't have an approach since there isn't anything I can do about it, nor do I really care at this point. But it doesn't take a genius to know what the solution to this problem is - build a winner.

It's that simple. Just build a winner. But as we all know, Jerry doesn't want to do what he has to in order to rectify this problem, so we're going to see more of what happened yesterday in the future.

It's not a stupid question. As I said before, the questions about the amount of 49ers fans in the stadium is relevant and holds credibility due to statements that Jones himself has made in recent times.

He's made it painfully obvious that being and remaining relevant is a nice consolation prize to not winning. And in his case, I'm not so sure if it's not as important to him.

To me it is a stupid question because it is designed to try to embarrass rather than address the primary problem. If you and others think it can be fixed by fixing the team then that is the approach to take in an interview. Maybe even more relevant to tickets would be a question of is there any plans to restrict sales to opponent fans. Instead the question was how did all this red get in here. We all know how it got in. They bought a ticket from a ticket agent.

I think you're missing the point. There is no restricting who can buy tickets. But if there was a better product on the field, the fans would stay and watch and NOT put the tickets up for sale.

As for the question posed to Jones, I think it's legitimate. He's made it pretty clear that he's all about the team being relevant. Pretty clear that he's all about making money, too. So the reporter asked the question to find out how he feels about the stadium being filled 50/50 or more with opposing fans. Jerry is obviously lying when he says he didn't notice. How could he not, short of being blind and deaf? But hey... Those fans paid for parking, tickets, and concessions. Who cares what color jersey they were wearing, right Jer?

That would be impossible. How do you suggest that they do that? Hook up each fan to a lie detector and ask them who their favorite team is before allowing them to buy?

And I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority of those tickets were already bought and paid for. They were sold second hand by the Dallas fans who had originally bought them.

It doesn't, but he wasn't asked about fixing the team. And the reason why he wasn't asked about fixing the team is because he's already been asked that a ton as Phil pointed out, and he always gives the same answer.

So since everyone already knows that it's a waste of time to ask him about the football side of things, then they might as well ask him about what he himself has made a point of interest.

Again, he has invited these questions with his comments and actions.

You don't see Bob Kraft being asked about these things, do you? Why do you think that is?
