If they would start him every day, I'd pick him up in fantasy.Jordany Valdenspin.

His slider breaks as much as his curveball. It's insane.First time in about 3 years or so that the Red Sox don't stumble out of the gate.
The question is, does this particular team have staying power?
And Yu Darvish is going to be pretty damn good.
The AL East is underwhelming right now. They might have a chance just based on how mediocre it is.First time in about 3 years or so that the Red Sox don't stumble out of the gate.

I'm no baseball expert, but the last guy I saw that had a slider that broke like that was Brad Lidge before Pujols ruined him.His slider breaks as much as his curveball. It's insane.
They are definitely benefiting from the quality of the division. The AL East is underwhelming right now. They might have a chance just based on how mediocre it is.
But they just brought up Juan Lagares. He'll become the every day guy soon. Cowgill is a grinder, just not an every day guy, he'll be there very soon.
I don't know if he'll be as good as Pedro was in his prime, but being able to go from a 98 mph cutter to a 67 mph change up is what made him so deadly. How amazing is it that this kid can throw that many different pitches and all from the same motion. He was throwing up to 97 MPH last night and then throwing 61 MPH curves just to break off 3rd strikes. Wow. 49 Ks in 32 + innings with a 1.65 era. Phenomenal.
As far as their top 10 minor league players (including position players) Grimm was ranked in the bottom half by some. No mention of Tepesch. As far as just pitchers Grimm was up there but I just get the feeling that Tepesch came out of nowhere according to the media. The team liked him and now we are seeing why. I know one team that asked to trade for him during spring training and the Rangers were reluctant. So Tepisch goes almost 7 and only gives up a run yesterday and Grimm goes 7 and gives up nothing. I don't even know if these are top guys in terms of young pitchers in our system but I'm extremely pleased. And the Rangers win another tonight. Very cool!
Every current Rangers starter has a lower ERA than:
Sale, Sabathia, Wilson, Dickey, Weaver, Price, Lincecum, G. Gonzalez, Halladay, Hammels, Cain, and J. Johnson.
Better get your wins now because The Rangers are coming!
Well said Rev!
