He is only "gone" temporarily.

He this is almost like an extended IR. He can't sign or play for anyone for as long as the settlement dictates.

Watch. You'll see.

Thanks for the clarification, DFDC.

And amazingly, since 2007, the Eagles are 2/11 on 4th round picks. Exactly the same as the Cowboys.

But they have Chip so they must be AWESOME.

Don't let the facts slap you in the face. (Once again, not defending Jerry, just looking at the reality of the situation)

Then be realistic and research the rest of the league and not just one team to compare us to.

Why, being the best in the NFC East is all it takes to be in the playoffs.

Once again, the facts.....

Nope. You compared Dallas to the Eagles. Compare them to the rest of the league or your argument is not valid.

Actually, my point was about how the general public compares the Cowboys to the rest of the NFC East. The Eagles are considered to be the "Best of the East" and yet they are no better than the Cowboys at "hitting" on 4th round picks. I'm just asking for a realistic comparison.

This point is moot because the Eagles are god awful at drafting in general. How many first round draft picks have they hit on in the past 10 seasons?

2000 6 Corey Simon DT Florida State
2001 25 Freddie Mitchell WR UCLA
2002 26 Lito Sheppard CB Florida
2003 15 Jerome McDougle DE Miami [p]
2004 16 Shawn Andrews T Arkansas [q]
2005 31 Mike Patterson DT Southern California
2006 14 Brodrick Bunkley DT Florida State
2007 No pick [r]
2008 No pick
2009 19 Jeremy Maclin WR Missouri [t]
2010 13 Brandon Graham DE Michigan
2011 21 Danny Watkins OG Baylor
2012 12 Fletcher Cox DT Mississippi State
2013 4 Lane Johnson OT Oklahoma
2014 26 Marcus Smith DE Louisville

OK, here is the history of 4th round picks. Feel free to compare the Cowboys 2/11 record from 2007 to the league. If you can discount me, then I will fully accept that.

But I'm not doing the work for you. PROVE your statement. I didn't make a statement vs the league.

You did an excellent job of conveying that point in your original post.

You're the one that made a statement. No one else did outside of the obvious statement that we suck in the 4th round. You came flying in with the Eagles crap. So, you are trying to make a statement, so it's yours to defend, not ours to disprove.

No I just gave an example of what in the media is a "top flight team" but has done nothing better than a bottom dweller, the Cowboys, have done because they cut Ahmad Dixon.

I'm just asking for a realistic evaluation not based on how many people I can get to click on a story link.

And I gave you the data to find out if my statement was correct. Sorry if you don't care to check it.

The Eagles are not historically a "top flight team" when it comes to drafting, so again your argument is invalid.

They are the team that is currently listed as the "best of the NFC East" and given as a reason that the Cowboys won't win the East. So how is it invalid and not relevant?

That's based on their new HC who is only in his second year so you should only be comparing the last two years drafting
