The Cowboys continue to churn the bottom of their roster. They agreed to terms with linebacker Korey Toomer, according to a source. He will join the Cowboys’ 53-player roster after they make a roster move to make room. Toomer was released by the Seahawks on Saturday.
The Cowboys also are expected to add defensive lineman Jack Crawford on Tuesday when they move defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence to short-term injured reserve, according to a source.
The 6-foot-2, 234-pound Toomer was a fifth-round pick of the Seahawks in 2012 out of Idaho. He spent 2012 on injured reserve after having shoulder surgery and spent last season on the non-football injury list with a knee issue.
He spent time working with the Seahawks’ top kickoff team.
Toomer ran a 4.53 in the 40-yard dash at his Pro Day in 2012 and had a 42-inch vertical and a 10-foot, 10-inch broad jump.
Crawford was a 2012 fifth-round pick of the Raiders out of Penn State. The 6-foot-5, 275-pounder appeared in 19 games his first two seasons, with 18 tackles. The Raiders’ depth chart listed him as their third-string left defensive end before his release.
Crawford is a native of London, having attended high school at the City of London School.
Dallas also claimed offensive guard Donald Hawkins off waivers, cutting offensive tackle John Wetzel.
