The whole genesis of this debate is that some people think we could see those run totals creep back up now that the line is fixed.
If it's true that the line's struggles had "nothing" to do with him abandoning the run, that means that Garrett won't run it more even with a better OL, and he would have always run the ball 33% of the time no matter the circumstances.
I can't possibly believe that's true, and citing a couple late season games where we abandoned the run while blocking well, does not prove that Garrett will never trust the run again.
He may be slow to learn, but I think it is possible that he will realize the run blocking is better and thus, go back to using it a little more. That has something to do with his philosophy these last couple year. Which is more than nothing.
How anyone could say otherwise is kinda astounding when you factor in exactly how bad the run blocking was, once upon a time.
Obviously the run blockin success in GB did not effect him enough to switch back in that game. Over time, it may.
