Keep on making your points LT...if people quit repeating the same stuff over and over again this place would be barren. Really, the post ravi made was a point I have seen countless times. Maybe he needs to be reined in too. :lol
Probably. :lol

This might be another poster's first look at both my own and LT's opinions.

I agree with LT, BTW, that regardless of where Escobar was drafted we need to make best use of him.

The point that we've reached in too many 2nd rounds lately is a separate one and the two have nothing to do with each other except they happen to intersect at Escobar.

I have just as much right to express my opinion about someone overstating something as you do. You are the epitome of someone being a dick on this board, and you want to talk about someone else talking disparaging about other member's posts? GFY. Seriously.

I don't understand what got you upset about the post. I was making a point about the organization misusing this guy. You seemed to think I was jumping on Ravi about his draft position. I really don't care about draft positions after the fact but that's just me my comments were all directed at the organization to quit thinking of him the way they drafted him and use his talents. I regret you took it any other way.

If he doesn't line up at WR, what other choice did we have with Escobar?

Why the hell would it take us a whole year to realize this? Isn't this what the scouting dept does for years even before the player declares for the NFL draft?

Yeah I think that's the whole point. It's obvious he isn't going to be what they drafted him for so bite the bullet and make use of him or trade him. I do think he has trade value but I also think he has excellent size and hands for a receiver.

Well, lining him up at WR is what I thought he was drafted for. You don't draft a blocking TE in the 2nd round. The scouting reports all said his blocking leaves a lot to be desired.

So I'm wondering why it took us a year to line him up Jimmy Graham-style. Should've happened from Day One.

Seems obvious the coaching staff just screwed the pooch on how he was utilized. I don't know what else to attribute it to.

I was only referring to you constantly talking about how draft position doesn't matter when referring to a player, when it obviously does. It wasn't just your reply to Ravi. You are always on about how we should put draft positions behind us and just worry about this year. I don't agree with that. Draft position has, and always will be, in the discussion when talking about a player's worth. You can't get away from it.

I do apologize if you think I was attacking you. I wasn't. When I am bantering back and forth with you, I feel like I'm talking to my dad, and I temper my posts. I have defended you in forums you can't see because of that feeling. I won't go into details on that, but you will have to just know it's true. I don't expect any of the mods to tell you how that went down, but it did. Post away, man. But, I will reply in kind.

Linehan got Joseph Fauria to pull 7 TD's out of his ass last year, I'm somewhat confident that he will find spots to use Escobar in and that he will be utilized more than we have Fasano or Bennett in the past.

I hope so because we have seriously sucked at using guys like him in the past.
