I like the player, but not in the first round.

I am just stunned we felt we needed to take him.

And THIS is what we get in a massive trade down?

Follow this up with another strong OL pick somewhere and I'll be very happy. Schwenke or Barrett Jones or something.

I love this a billion times more than had we took Long like the Bears did. He's the #1 C and probably #4 OG. No complaints here.

Meh. He went higher than I expected but I wouldn't exactly call it an incredible reach. I've seen him in mocks in the high 2nd.
He isn't any more of a reach then Long and Pugh were in the first and I prefer Fredrick to both of them.

I would have preferred Warford but at least we got a new starting interior O-lineman. Funny thing is a long time ago Jerry talked about how he wanted a center/guard to add to the roster. I guess we got our guy.

We bitch and bitch and bitch about needing OL and how both C and G are huge needs and we got a top flight guy with a nasty streak. Elite prospect? No, but there was only one of those. But damn good player.
Value should mean something. But hey, maybe we'll nab a decent 3rd rounder in the 2nd.

The Fan saying a scout said that Frederick is better than DeCastro, Konz and Zeigler from last year. On the flipside, other scouts said Frederick is a bad athlete and a 3rd round value.

We were caught unprepared. Jerry caught with his pants down again.

It helps me sleep at night thinking that this could be a street fighter. At the end of the first round, that's not the end of the world. I've seen these tough underrated OLs go at this spot at the end of the first round before and it works out.

It could be worse.

Who doesn't know who Fredrick is? He is the best center in this draft and a legit guard prospect as well.
I know him.

I also know that NO TEAM IN THE NFL was going to trade up to take him.

This is an absolutely terrible choice in terms of value.

I couldn't have made a worse pick for them.
