I did rank Smith #4 on the team, BTW, so I'm not a hater. That penalty was a serious mental mistake that lost a football game.

Romo's passing ability is far more significant than his mobility and it's what allows him to make everyone around him better.

In 2011 with Doug Free at LT the Cowboys had 327 first downs, 6008 total yards, 38 TDs, and 34 sacks allowed. In 2013 with Tyron Smith at LT they had 325 first downs, 5458 total yards, 45 TDs, and 34 sacks allowed.

The running game produced 7 more TDs than we had in 2011, some of that is Murray's health, and some of that is Smith, but looking at the big picture it's a drop in the bucket next to Romo's passing/threat of passing.

Smith is good, but he's no 2007 Flozell Adams.
He'll be better at some point, assuming health. I would take Smith over Dez, and anybody else on the team for that matter if I was starting a team right now, although it's a very difficult decision between the two.

Smith is the 4th best player on this team? WTF...Dez is right there with him, but he has gone by Romo and Witten.

He'll, even I can admit Smith is better than 4th on this team. It's him, Dez and Lee in whatever order you want to out them.

Poor Sean Lee, even if he could stay healthy, he's only the third best white MLB in the league now.

If you're building a team, sure. But reality isn't like that. Last year he was not the best player on the team. He's still improving, but it means jack shat if the man behind center isn't also great.

Trent Williams' breakout season last year meant absolutely nothing to Washington because their QB completely sucked arse.

Not a matter of youth...it's talent...only Dez rivals Smith now.

I'd take Kiko or Kuechly all day any day even if Lee could stay on the field.
You also once said JPP's career would far eclipse DeMarcus Ware's all because JPP had one good season (and you didn't like Ware because you were gay for Derrick Johnson).

Lee has 11 picks in 32 starts. That's on pace for 5.5 per full season which is great for a CB. If he's healthy, he's right there with those guys.

I think that is a myth or skewed perception. Here is a list of the current starting QB and the year/pick that they were selected in the draft. Only 1/4 of them were taken in the top 10 picks of their selected draft year.

*Note: It is a little skewed because it is based on the last game of last year (Orton and Cousins are listed as starters). But Romo wouldn't add to the list of 9 that were top 10 picks, although RGIII would. So that changes it to ~30%. Still most of the starters were later picks.

You also have 2 #11 picks, so you could also say 40% of qbs were picked in the top 11. More importantly, none of them are awful.
