WR's are huge difference makers in the NFL and you can't win without them. If the value is good, you take one.

BTW, don't cite Seattle as a model for winning with crappy WRs. That whole team has been on the same Pete Carroll-induced menstrual cycle for two years now.

I'd take a WR if value is there in the 2nd or 3rd, maybe, but definitely not in the 1st.

Guys like Cooks and Beckham will be long gone by the 3rd but I'd take either one of them there, I also like Ellington.
On draft day sometimes WRs will really start to fall and surprise you. If they don't I think we have a pretty good group of 4 WRs in Dallas. The only concern is injuries. If Dez were to go down, I don't know if Harris is a legit starter opposite Williams. If Dez is still starting I think you can get by with Harris starting opposite.

You probably need 1 more Terence Williams to be truly injury proof and "deep" at the position.

I would be completely fine with grabbing a WR in the middle to late rounds, Miles Austin has to be gone this year. I would like to see another big tall receiver, we have a couple of guys that can play the slot well enough.

I wouldn't spend draft picks on a backup WR unless the value is just out of there. Just sign a veteran "insurance policy" type.

Well, if there was a Terence Williams in the third again....

But yeah, I have no problem if we just add a veteran WR.

Even if we don't, it's not the end of the world, it just shouldn't be ruled out if there is a value add at some point in the offseason.

That's the thing, nothing should be "ruled out", problem is that we can't seem to draft best available and work the young guys in, we always seem to have glaring needs to fix in the draft. Like this year we have to have DL and Safety, probably a linebacker and lord knows we will draft a tight end.

Until we draft different we are stuck in this hole. We will get a solid first round player and maybe one or two others that can contribute but not really be anything special.

I believe Seattle just did.

I agree that we need somebody as an insurance policy if Williams or Bryant goes down. Beasley or Harris can play the slot fine but one of them starting on the outside would probably struggle.

I'd sign someone like Robert Meachem who shouldn't fetch too high a price in case Bryant or Williams miss time.

I've seen the SF trade proposal at a few other sites. I wonder if this is something actually being bandied about? Regardless this draft scenario sucks.
