Schottenheimer said in his PC yesterday that Carson is fine, that was much more of a concern for me than Guyton honestly since the alternative is to apparently play Bridges for a few snaps.

Yeah we have 4 corners we use. Not sure maybe Revel is ready to go full time. But we still seem to use Ready or whatever his name is a decent bit.

So everybody realizes that Eberflus is 100% back next year barring the defense collapsing on itself again like a dying star?

Even if they're completely average the rest of the way there's no chance he's gone after these last two performances. If the defense can continue playing at just an average level I'd be fine with it, but if you start seeing these abysmal performances 2 out of every 3 games again I wouldn't be able to stomach it.

I mean all it takes is for Mahomes to put up 40+ and I'm back to saying screw Eberflus. I thought the Eagles offense was a joke before last week. So between them and the Raiders I'm not ready to say we are all good now. I'm pleased with things I'm seeing but we haven't faced a real QB the last two games.

Before our game, 5 other teams have held the Eagles under 21 points. It was good to hold them to 21. But not exactly a great offense. Their defense is what has been winning games.

Yea I'm not saying he should be back, I'm just saying he will be.

Who?

I gotta say, I really barely give a rats ass what she says and I firmly reject this modern notion that what the relative of a football player says matters one iota.

It's funny but the false start was a way more killer penalty than the 15 yard tripping penalty. But the end result is you can't get to the redzone and commit dumbass penalties. And that's where Guyton seems to go full retard. Or at least he did yesterday.

It's hard enough to score TD's when everything is packed near the endzone. Making your team go an extra 5-15 yards just makes it that much worse.
In his defense he didn't get the best coaching at OU. Most Sooners fans have been begging for Bill Bedenbaugh (OU's OL coach) to be fired for a few years now.

The issues you're seeing with him in Dallas are the same issues we've seen from most OU o-linemen since 2020.

Therefore it might take a while for him to be properly coached up and round into the OL we were all hoping for.

I actually am not too worried about him except that he keeps getting hurt. Otherwise you have to have a kick ass swing who can go to left tackle since we refuse to lose Smith.
