Other than that I don't see the comparison. You mention the Bengals O-line but they haven't been nearly as successful at drafting guys as Dallas has been on the O-line. They have drafted a bunch of busts on the defense though. I think you're taking one example of a team that invested heavily at WR and extrapolating the cap impact to every other NFL team.

You also mention that pushing out money is a bad idea. Well you should tell that to the Eagles who have done a ton of it. And won the Superbowl. Hell they invested in two badass WRs and they don't even have a QB capable of taking advantage of it. I think you have a misunderstanding of the cap. And I really don't mean to be offense. Most people have a very simplistic knowledge of the cap. And guys like Jerry Jones are the reason for that. They want everyone to think we are operating under some hard salary cap. It's just an excuse to not spend money. And Jerry may do the same thing to excuse letting Pickens go. Hell last time we had 2 stud WRs on the roster he traded away Cooper for shit with the same exact explanation that you're giving now. How did that work out?

Look I'm not gonna argue and debate this we both have a differing opinion and I didn't say you shouldn't push it out some but you shouldn't go ridiculous with it but I'm glad one out of 32 teams are making your debate really really strong LOL

Only two teams have truly made this whole all in thing work and really only about 10% of the NFL has even tried it and that would be the Rams and the Eagles...

I get your argument I just don't believe jerry would do that kind of thing.. Like I said most of the NFL do not do these kind of things and typically Jerry does not do them and typically you do not want to push money that far out if it's not truly working yes the Eagles found a way to make it work that doesn't mean anyone else will...

Look we all sit here and hope the Cowboys can make themselves better and start winning that's the one thing we can agree on if Jerry wants to go that route great if he decides he wants to pay or overpay George Pickens great what am I going to do come in here and complain no it means we have another weapon for a while on our team however I just don't believe he's going to do it that's what I'm saying you're getting yourself set up for disappointment if you expect him to do something only 10% of the NFL are willing to do...

Now I've got to get back and do some real world work here so we can agree to disagree But all we can do is hope the Cowboys will be successful soon we've been waiting a very long time..

It's not an argument. It's economics. It's math. It's simple numbers. Think of it this way, the salary cap goes up every year right? It's just like inflation in an economy. So the million dollars of salary cap money today, is worth less than the salary cap money of a year or more down the road. So if you can take that million now and move it into the future, you've taken advantage of the system. I know most people won't understand this. They struggle with the concept. But it's really cheating the system. 1 mil in cap 10 years ago meant a hell of a lot more than a 1 mil in cap today. So if you can push dollars from today into the future when those same dollars have a small impact relative to the size of the cap, you're ultimately creating an advantage.

This isn't theoretical. This isn't a debate. It's just a fact. Any person even slightly good at math or economics would tell you the same thing. Imagine if you could buy a 100,000 truck today and only have to pay 100,000 for the truck in 10 years. You'd certainly do that over paying 100,000 for the truck today, right? The only problem is you have to have an NFL owner who actually wants to spend the money. Because while the cap is a joke, it's put in place so that owners can maximize profits, not wins. And what I'm suggesting is something that could hurt an owner's profits. The Eagles owner I think has actually had to sell off some percentage of the team to afford what he is doing. And that is where you may be right about Jerry, I think he cares more about profits than wins.

I don't remember Joe Burrow competing for a Super Bowl recently but we're talking about now that they paid both receivers they're trying to get rid of their best defender and Trey Hendrickson I wonder why that is..hmm

So, I wholeheartedly disagree, when a team needs to get themselves right ,they can't do that by overpaying two receivers... It's a wonderful world we live in to be able to have an opinion, except mine are like based by facts there aren't very many teams paying all their players that kind of money and still competing for an actual Super Bowl, in a Super Bowl, winning Super Bowls...

I already pointed out KC they pretty much run their organization a whole lot like the Cowboys(Yes you do not need to point out they have a better quarterback and a better coaching staff but we're talking about how they treat the offseason the draft and free agency) and they've been competing in Super Bowls and they're not paying two receivers that kind of money, in fact they traded away tyreke hill they don't have two tyreke Hills, they have zero tyreke hills...

Irony here is the team that got him that have two receivers should have a dynamic offense because look at their deep running back room as well that would be the Miami Dolphins and what are they doing they're not doing **** but losing....

Dak would be an absolute retard not to take a pay cut to allow Pickens to get to the number he wants if it’s slightly above $35 million.

He’s not the kingmaker Tony was, he needs all the help he can get and then some.
