The playbook is obvious and the government shutdown plays right into it. Offer free everything, Healthcare, house, food etc. Then make people miserable by starving them out, not giving them paychecks and blaming the Republicans for all the miserable circumstances they create. People become desperate for the free shit and suddenly your stance gets heavily supported by a large percentage of the population.

This isn't rocket science. It's a thought out plan that's trying to push people towards socialism. The problem is once you get past a tipping point of government taking care of people, you can't really go back. Or at least go back easily.

I think you're being a little obstinate here. It isn't like he hasn't done a whole hell of a lot trying to get that war ended. If we are being completely truthful, he has gone way above and beyond anything the previous administration even tried to do.
We all knew when he said those things that there were other issues beyond his control that would go into them, so we didn't take it literally. I know it's easier for you to make your point if you do take them literally, but realistically, all presidents have made promises that they couldn't keep. At least this one has done things to try and keep them.
The fact is some things ARE cheaper now than they were when he took office. Interest rates are starting to come down, although only because Powell had his back up against a wall, and that will help things come down further.
The deals that have been made with other governments will also inevitably lower costs on a lot of stuff as well.

Interest rates are starting to come down, although only because Powell had his back up against a wall, and that will help things come down further.

Interest rates are coming down because of inflation, which was 3.0% over the last 12 months with a 0.3% increase in September alone, along with the higher rate of unemployment. So I guess in a way, you are correct. Trump did have a hand in bringing the interest rates down, just not in the way he wants you to believe.

I'm not on here stating that Trump ended the Ukraine war already. You are on here stating untrue things, such as "not a fucking thing is cheaper." That's not opinion, it's untruth.

FWIW I would agree that the second Trump administration has left much to be desired so far without a ton of prospect for it getting better as he's kind of a lame duck.
