It's a play on what Marshawn Lynch said years ago...

Just Ernie playing the fool like usual.

I really hope this kid can get back to where he was and STAY HEALTHY. He seems to be a relentless worker. I'm a fan.
If he comes back near 100% and can stay healthy he could transform the defense a bit. The healthy version of him is arguably our best defensive player.

When you listen to these Adams PC's you can tell why he has such a strong mind in terms of the design of the run game.

Not like these fucking Cat in the Hat, nursery rhyme pure zone schemes we ran for 10+ years because Callahan did an awesome job here for a few years back in 2014.
I thought it was interesting he said most pro teams he was at they told him right away, we're a zone team or we're a gap team, where at Boise they did both just depending on personnel and what was best that week.

Also, Eberflus said of him that he doesn't actually ask the OLmen to do that much, but they dress the plays up to make it hard for the defense to read

It's true, and the ability to mesh gap and zone concepts is one of the main reasons why the Shannahan-style offenses have taken over the league. It's that and the ability to make runs and passes look the same in terms of the OL action, and then working play action off of it, it's not a coincidence that those have been the areas of focus for Schottenheimer.

It's why I got so frustrated with our run game over the last 5ish years, particularly the late Garrett/early McCarthy years which were basically a function of Moore, but also an extension of Garrett's lack of creativity since that's pretty much all Moore knew.

It got a bit better once Moore left but it was always kind of contrived because I don't think it came natural to McCarthy, and I think the game had probably past Solari by.

Stop talking about Adams.
