Another thing that that happened way too often in those days was getting lit up by backup QBs.Dude, they were exhausting. There's nothing worse than watching your team score a td and immediately feeling dread because you know your defense is about to give up another one, probably to the team ranked #112 in the country.
I check for updates about 5 times a day.@1bigfan13 @Chocolate Lab
That's what's up.

Sources: OU's Mateer pushing to play vs. Texas
Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer is pushing to return for Saturday's game against Texas, sources told ESPN.www.espn.com

I saw something that says Venables will be providing a team injury update tonight. I don't there to be much to it other than the standard vague injury info. But I guess people are hoping that it at least lists Mateer as questionable.
I don't think we're going to know for sure until Saturday.
I've been seeing reports from PFT and others that North Carolina is already looking to can Belichick.
It sounds like he's going to be fired for "rules violations".
I'm sure these "rule violations" are minor things they wouldn't have a problem with if Carolina were actually doing well.
I heard that he isnt going to play because of sand in the vaginas otherwise know as the Mayfield Syndrome.I check for updates about 5 times a day.

I saw that as well and assumed it was the oddsmakers projecting that Mateer will start.Same.Venables is not giving up much. I think there's a better than fair chance he plays. I noticed the line has moved from Texas -2.5 to Texas -1. Not sure if that has anything to do with Mateer or not.
Hating Texas brings everyone together.I heard that he isnt going to play because of sand in the vaginas otherwise know as the Mayfield Syndrome.
Ok. In all seriousness this is the only week I will ever pull for OU. That's even with you ahead of my team in the rankings and it would benefit me more if you lost. texas is worth that.
The impression I get from NFL insiders is that no one in the NFL wants him as their coach. So CFB was his only option.God, don't you know he regrets taking that job? What a way to end a career.
I think it's pretty obvious why he got no NFL attention after all the...stuff.The impression I get from NFL insiders, is that no one in the NFL wants him as their coach. So CFB was his only option.
It feels like he approached the Carolina job with outdated ideas. He went way too have on former Patriots staff members. He should've sought out fresh/modern staff members with collegiate backgrounds.
Yeah the girlfriend thing is such a mess that no NFL team would want to deal with.I think it's pretty obvious why he got no NFL attention after all the...stuff.

My guess is he has all but abandoned the players? What did he do that was this bad?
