Lawrence was the guy many compared Kneeland to when we took him, I feel like Dorance Armstrong is his worst case scenario.

But based on what I saw last night he's going to be much closer to Lawrence, he looked like an absolute stud, which isn't surprising considering some thought he could've snuck into the late 1st last year.
Sam Williams actually looked pretty good last night too... I was shitting myself on that hit on Hurts near the sideline but it was absolutely legal. Hurts wasn't out of bounds at all yet. But if that gets called you know everyone would be calling Sam Williams a bonehead. But I thought he did a really good job of running Hurts down on multiple plays. Funny how Sam Williams might actually be faster than Hurts.

Dak will get the blame bit Lamb has fucked us in this game.

I disagree. I think Dak played his ass off. The consensus this morning is we lost this game because of CeeDee.

Miles Sanders is a guy on madden with 79 speed you don’t even think about signing
Funny thing is speed is supposed to be his greatest asset. And Zack Baun is like a 4.65 forty guy and he straight up ran Sanders down from 5-10 yards behind him.

Interesting snap count items:

-Elam, Bland, Hooker and Wilson all played every snap, no surprise, Murray was the other guy to play every snap
-Damone Clark played 67% of the snaps, Liufau played 10%, that was very surprising to me
-Diggs played 42%, so basically nickel/dime as expected, and I'm sure the snap count will continue to rise
-Clark and Osa led the DL in snaps played
-Toia with 32% was surprising, and he looked pretty decent, I'm hopeful that he will develop into a solid backup 1T
-Williams played a good chunk more than any of the other edge rushers, so I'd imagine Eberflus really likes him, and I'd guess that's part of them supposedly looking at extending him
-Turpin and Tolbert had almost equal snap counts, same for Schoonmaker and Spann-Ford
-Miles Sanders only played 11 snaps and somehow still looked like absolute shit

I saw where he got a horrible pff grade, but I liked some things Toia did. He showed up several times. He plays with effort and runs to the ball down the field, too.

Most of Barkley's bigger runs (i.e. 10-12 yarders, including the TD) came with Toia and Thomas on the field, but Toia also held up well on several snaps in the second half.

If he were a 3rd year guy I'd say he's just a JAG, but for a rookie playing his first game I thought his play was promising enough.

Yeah, I don't really trust PFF and their grading system. I don't think what a NT does in a game can be judged that quickly or easily. I thought Toia was ok but I'd have to really go back and focus on him to have any real idea. I watch the game for the game. Focusing in on what a NT does on every play sounds like a really boring way to watch a game. That's what film study is for and the game went to like midnight so I won't pretend that I went back and watched how he played.

I do think Clark was as good as advertised though. Maybe even a little better. Toia could learn a lot from modeling his game after that dude.

I think Clark had a kind of average PFF grade, which goes to show why PFF grades should be taken with a grain of salt.

At the end of the day he isn't here to be an elite interior pass rusher, he pushed the pocket a few times and got a bit of penetration, but he's here to clog the middle and be a rotational pass-rush piece.

The fact that he basically led our DL in snaps played and Barkley had what would've been one of his worst games last season tells me all I need to know, besides the fact that I actually watched him somewhat closely and saw him clogging the middle for myself.

There is a logical end to that argument - if he put up 45 points, throws 6 touchdowns and no INTs, but the defense lets up 48, and a WR drops the winning touchdown pass on fourth down on the last drive, I let him off the hook.
:lol
Damn.

I still can’t get over a LB catching one of our prized FA RB signings.

I'm still wondering how this guy became a prized free agent signing. He was paid nothing. He was god awful last season. When we signed him I thought he was nothing more than a camp body. He proceeded to do nothing in preseason and frankly look like shit when he played. And somehow that made him the #2 RB? I get that sometimes a camp body shows you something and they earn their spot. Take James Houston for example. Another guy I would have called a camp body. That dude showed up, showed out and forced his way on the roster.

Sanders though just rose to this. I'm still baffled.
