No worry guys, Jerry will just clean up after all these foolish GMs draft and develop QBs for him. Jerry use to say the same shit about WRs.

Mettenberger is popular...I like him...I even have some love for Murray. There are some guys we should be interested in.

I agree on McCarron...who gave him a top 20 promise?
I like Murray as well. He reminds me of a young Drew Brees.

So you don't wanna draft a QB because you might develop him for someone?

WTF kind of stupid ass logic is that?

A. It doesn't take 3 years to develop a QB anymore. This isn't 1991 anymore and these QBs are far more NFL ready because they have been chucking the ball a lot since highschool. Something we saw far less 20 years ago.

B. After 3 years a QB isn't an unrestricted free agent. Instead he is a restricted free agent and if you put in the time to develop him surely you would at least put a first round tender on the man and recoup big gains for your development.

C. If it was so easy to just pick off QBs that other teams develop everyone would be doing that shit. It hasn't happened and it won't happen. Teams don't let top notch QB talent go for free ever.

This is the type of shit that really makes me hate Jerry. I know he is going to stick his nose where it doesn't belong but his theories as a GM sometimes are just so mind numbingly dumb that it's hard to believe the man was ever able to smart enough to make a few pennies to buy the Cowboys in the first place.

It is logical...since we have the worst GM in the league.

You cannot avoid talent thinking you will develop them just to lose...that is why Jones clasps wastes like Bennett to his chest like they are a prize when they could be traded.

I know it is a cliché, but Green Bay has taken and developed QBs as a practices for years. It is what they do, but of course, they know how to develop them and to also use them as commodities.

Jones has not traded a player for anything of substance since Jimmy Johnson left.

First, QBs are a rare commodity in the league. If one plays and shows even modest potential, they can be marketed, showcased and traded by a savvy organization that recognizes them as bargaining chips. But first you have to have a mentality about how important that position is. Get a good QB coach, a good QB system that can mask weaknesses and go at it...none of which we have, or are likely to ever have because Jones simply does not value the position. Once he gets one that can play, he is too chicken shit to try and get another.

He just doesn't want to "waste the draft pick". I don't see why not. We've wasted them on crap upon crap upon crap the last two decades.
