Interesting that Diggs could be back to practice sometime in August. I expected it with Revel but I didn't think Diggs would practice until September or even October.

I agree, that was eye opening to me. Very surprised to read that.

This is why when Jerry dies things will be better, no matter what anyone says.

Stephen might refuse to hire a GM, and he might still be terrible at managing the cap and extensions, but at the very least he won't be a carnival barker that gets up and talks complete nonsense.

Stephen sucks in his own way, but he does have clear benefits compared to how it used to be (more focused on a sane draft process, etc.) whereas Jerry's strength used to be that he was aggressive making moves, in FA, etc.

Well that Jerry is gone and all we're left with is him talking nonsense and ginning up stories for no good reason. I don't believe he has much influence with the day to day anymore but he's still a distraction who purposely creates controversy and God only knows how much dysfunction behind the scenes in terms of undermining coaches, etc.

Worst case scenario once Stephen is in charge is that he'll just continue what he does now and be a curmudgeon in front of a mic, but that's still better than having him do what he does now plus Jerry being a fucking dunce any chance he gets.

Overseas stem cell treatment??? :shrug

Also, seeing the team draft their potential replacement has a way of motivating players.

Note the "could" on Diggs and August.

I bet it's still later before he's really practicing full speed.

Sorry y’all, long day getting hammered and failing at golf, tried a cleanup with those fake posts from those morons and somehow dumped the other thread. :doh

He sounds bitter. Good.

I don't want to ever defend Jerry, but I didn't take the injury comment as "hammering" Parsons. He just said players get hurt. It's not like he accused him of faking the injury or something.

These twitter accounts just have to drama it up as much as possible.

You shouldn't defend Jerry. He is a pompous ass and their are plenty of examples of this during the PC. He acts like extending mediocre players early is a reason why you shouldn't pay franchise players early. And he has been claiming this same BS for years. Stop acting like signing Parsons is the same thing as signing Terrance Steele.

Obviously.

I was talking about the Twitteratti claiming he was "hammering" Parsons for some reason.

At least Diggs was in good health when they extended him. They extended Steele after a major knee injury and only one good season under his belt, so no sympathy there.
Part of the reason they extended Steele was because they liked his work ethic and all that BS, so they can blame themselves with all this talk of "leadership" and nonsense.

Leadership is important, yes, but the bigger issue is that these toads don't know how to properly gauge market value for their own players because they don't actually have football minds.
