The fires in the Philly streets have started

Nice. One person is teabagging it, followed by a fan dryhumping it

If you don’t think Philly is a great team, then you are just blinded by hate.

Dominate on both lines.

Great RB. Great WRs

Good enough QB.

Picked up a great LB in FA and drafted great young DBs.

So someone with an ounce of objectivity explain how they aren’t that good.

Anybody ever see that scene in An American Werewolf in London, where the guy is having a nightmare, and then he wakes up but he's in another nightmare? That's me this morning.

It's like, oh shit that sucked.

You aren't going to get me to not shit on them, Shatner.

Also, let me tell you something about Philadelphia fans. Throughout us winning 3 super bowls in 4 years in the early 90s, literally one of the greatest teams of all time, I listened to eagles fans argue constantly that Dallas sucked, they got lucky, the refs cheat for us, Aikman sucks, Emmitt sucks, Irvin sucks, on and on and on.

So spare me the objectivity and wE sHoUlD aCkNoWlEdGe tHeIr GrEaTnEsS bullshit. NEVER. Literally never.

In fact, within the next few days, I will be choosing to follow an alternate earth timeline where they didn't play a super bowl this year and the eagles clown ass franchise never won jack squat.

Do not challenge the depths to which I can hate them.

You merely adopted the dark; I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding.

They are a well run team who are willing to spend money, but they've also been fortunate. But I guess you have to be to win two SBs in 10 years and come close to a third with different coaches and different QBs.

In addition to never having to pay the penalty for drafting the wrong QB top 5 AND signing him to a long deal, they got rewarded for it with a bounty of picks to rebuild the team. They benefited this year from a weak NFC, being healthy themselves (Barkley always had a long term injury with the Giants, but played every game this year), then Detroit's defense gets wiped out by injuries and they get a dream path to the NFC Championship.

Yea, they have a very good roster but I think they got very lucky with Fangio coming in and transforming their defense.

Barkley was amazing, and their OL and WR's are very good, but ultimately this is more or less the same roster as last year plus Fangio and a few DB's. Fangio deserves the vast majority of the credit for turning them into one of the best defenses in the league from one of the worst.

And their offense was more or less just Barkley going nuts with a few Hurts runs mixed in, with Brown making a few plays here and there. If they had their defense from last year and the same offense they're probably a 10-7 team at best.

I do think they got extremely lucky with Detroit's injuries and them turning in a Cowboys-esque performance against Washington, because even with the injuries I think Detroit would've beaten them at home in the NFCC.

Let's not forget that the Rams were like 9 yards away from beating the Eagles on the road in the second round.

The biggest thing with the Eagles is that their FO is constantly tinkering and looking for opportunities to improve. On paper their roster isn't really any better than what we had from 2021-23 but the fact that they have a more stable organizational culture and a FO always looking for ways to improve the roster is what makes the difference.

Barkley is also going to fall off a cliff sometime during next season, when you include the playoffs he had a little over 480 touches.

I'm pretty sure that's damn near the highest a RB has ever had in a single season, so good luck with that moving forward.
