By Todd Archer | ESPNDallas.com

IRVING, Texas -- Add defensive end George Selvie to the list of Dallas Cowboys recovering from offseason surgery.

Selvie had left shoulder surgery but is expected to be ready to go for the team’s offseason conditioning program.

Selvie signed with the Cowboys after training camp began and started every game. He finished with 39 tackles and seven sacks for the season. He also had seven tackles for loss, 22 quarterback pressures, two pass deflections, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

In the first 36 games of his career with the St. Louis Rams, Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars, he had 57 tackles, three sacks and six tackles for loss.

He joins right tackle Doug Free (ankle) and wide receiver Dwayne Harris (shoulder) as players known to have had postseason operations.

He's young. I would really like to get another DE to add to the rotation. Bennett, Johnson, Dunlap, and maybe Shaughnessy would all be options at a lower price than Hardy or Orakpo who look to break the bank.

Dunlap was re-signed, Shaughnessy could be a nice rotational guy, I'd love Bennett or Johnson but I have to imagine Zimmer will go hard after Johnson.

There are some good DE prospects in the draft. If we're going to spend money we'd better get in on a DT.

I think there are some decent DT's in the free agent class, guys like Pat Sims, Clinton McDonald, Vance Walker and Corey Peters.
