I don't really understand why the head of pro scouting is in charge of the college draft board instead of the head of college scouting, but hopefully he can improve our drafts as well. I would like to know his interest in 2nd round TEs and injured Div III defensive backs with 11 toes

Heard Broaddus say on Talking Cowboys about a week ago that McClay was against taking these injury-prone "steals" in the draft and he's hoping he gets Jerry to take less gambles on them.

I think the idea is to get an unbiased opinion. Someone that strictly sees the scouting reports and puts the board together. Scouts can get too attached to their guys sometimes.
