Is Tyler Smith playing because I would rather see Bass.
Same here. I wonder if they're considering that.

Edit, except that I wish they'd put Smith at LT and Bass at LG to keep your Chuma off the field. But they don't seem to want to move Smith.

We would be better if we had 4 more Chumas on the line.

My guess is that Belichick is using this to A) signal that he wants to coach somewhere next year, and B) potentially sharpen his interview presentation.

I'd bet that this is him making it clear specifically to the Giants that if they don't fire Daboll he won't be available to them in another year.
Yeah, I think it is absolutely his way of saying I want to coach somewhere next year and if you want me come and get me, don't wait or I'll just take a college job.

That would be amazing.

Even the "bad" Manning won back to back Super Bowls and had this crazy ability to turn into a much better QB in crunch time than he was the rest of the time.

This kid is the most physically gifted Manning of them all. Does that mean he'll be the best? No, but I damn sure would love to be the team that drafts him.

I don't think I could stand hearing and seeing his asshat dad, though.

His dad is Cooper, right? I don’t think I’ve ever heard him. Why is he an asshat?
I wasn't being super-serious there. He's probably a perfectly decent human being.

But I just don't care for the guy. Fox used to force him on the pregame shows years ago with a comedic bit that I thought was never funny. It was kind of a sarcastic, biting humor, too -- the kind that makes you sound like an ass if you aren't actually funny. It was clear they just put him on because he was another Manning.

I'm on record as being tired of all the Mannings. Actually I think Eli is okay, only because he doesn't seem to take himself as seriously as Peyton does. But the whole "Royal Family" or First Family of the NFL stuff... Feh.

The very premise of there being NFL royalty of any sort whatsoever is absurd on its face and should be rejected whole cloth.

Sports are by their very nature way too tribal for there to be anything remotely resembling a consensus on an elevated status for any family or individual.

Yes but you know damn good and well there is royalty in the ownership and honestly down to the coaching ranks with the incredible amount of nepotism.
