I just got a spam text that is telling me that voting by mail is safe and secure.

They're trying this bullshit again.

AND, I can track my ballot online!

Wait...how can I track my ballot if they're not supposed to know it's mine? That doesn't seem so safe and secure...

This is a center-left country. I realized that when Romney lost to Obama. If there are more Dem voters than GOP voters, or more takers than makers, then there's no need to "rig" anything.

Romney was a terrible candidate, though.

Look at the polls. We know what people actually think. When there are various "water line breaks" and other pauses in the middle of the night in Atlanta, Philly, and Milwaukee, we know what's going on.

He won that first debate handily and took his foot off the accelerator. Most people believed Romney would do a better job than Obama on the economy, and the economy was the dominant issue in that campaign, yet he still lost. If you're a government employee or a single mother who receives government benefits, you're not really affected by the real economy. "Takers" reliably vote Democrat.

I think it's more like a center center country that oscillates slightly left and right over time.

Look at the presidential elections over the past 70 years, since 1952.

Over the past 18 presidential elections, the Rs have won 10, and the Ds 8.

Since 1992, Republicans have won the popular vote once, in 2004.

You know the difference between a Constitutional Republic and a Democracy? The Electoral College. But you know this already.
You are missing my point completely, in that the Republican Party has not been enacting or drafting policies that the majority of the population say works for them, and you turn it around to be some sort of attack on your choice of candidate. It's not.

The Electoral College has defied the popular vote only 4 times in history. If it had happened much more often then you would have a point.

I'll say one thing though, I believe if there was no Obama in 2008 there wouldn't have been a Donald Trump in 2016. It was the equivalent of the Republicans saying to the Democrats, "Oh yeah, well hold my beer".
