I thought the OL did fine this year, even Bern-a-doe once Waters got hurt. I don't doubt though that Callahan gets scapegoated for playcalling even though Garrett was holding the play card the last 6 weeks and we were as pass happy then as we were in years past.

As for defense, I think Kiffin is gone. Dumb, dumb hire to begin with. 73 yr old who even got dumped by his son at USC. But not sure who we get if Marinelli leaves too with Garrett possibly being a lame duck. Unless of course Jerry hires a DC and promises him he'll get to stay even if a HC change is made. We're so dysfunctional I wouldn't even put it past JJ to bring back Dave frickin' Campo.

AS the defensive coordinator of the Bears they had one of the best defenses in the NFL. This past year without Marinelli their defense fell to 30th in the NFL and gave up more points per game then the Dallas Cowboys. I think the guy has proven himself as a legit defensive coach over the years.

I like Ray Horton but I hate the idea of now switching back to the 3-4. I just want to stick with a damn defense.

I get what you're saying, but the truly talented take what they've got and make it work. Belichick has run a 4-3 when the personnel has required it.

Get better players. Get a coach who values winning over scheme. The rest will work itself out.

I don't know if Belichick's defenses have really impressed anyone the last few years. That teams goes where it does because of a weak division and an awesome QB.

I'd rather get Horton than keep Marinelli. I think there's a little chance we can squeeze a little more out of Ware if we switch back. There's next to none if we stay with the 4-3. And we know Jerry won't cut Ware and start a youth movement on the defensive front.

Jerry will never change. He has only gotten more defiant and stubborn towards doing things his way. There will be no "star power" hirings for DC or OC, because Jerry has to have game input. Real OC and DC don't want to hear Jones' shit.

The Cowboys are perennial losers, and the bulk of the fans are ok with that mediocrity and failure. All you have to look at is the avg attendance posted elsewhere on the board. There are so many sheep that keep the coffers flowing. Jerry doesn't need to change. He will never change. He has the brain of a 40 year old. He probably lives till he's 100, which gives him the brain of a 60 year old.

The one thing that gives us any hope, any satisfaction of being a fan, is the draft. But Jerry ruins that for everyone too. Seeing everyone here lay out draft plans, players, etc is fun, but its like a bad dream and laughable when Jerry turns around and picks no-name players, "steals" ( i.e. injured players) CB's and TE's despite every expert in the world clearly outlining other areas of need.

The team is just fucked, fellows.
