Broaddus: "This offseason, Jerruh will reach out to people he trusts like Jimmy Johnson..."

That's the first name Broaddus mentions. Jimmy Johnson. ~Broaddus flush~

Love Jimmuh, but what the fuck does Jimmuh know about building a team today.

Are you watching him the Lions? This is how you come out at home in the playoffs. Not that shit we saw earlier.

I don't think he means as head coach or anything. Just on what he should do with McCarthy. Who he should look into hiring. I'll take Jimmy's advice over Jerry thinking alone all day long.

Coaching is re-arranging deck chairs. You probably aren’t getting a better coach than McCarthy, even if it’s Belichick. I’m not sure Belichick today is better than McCarthy.

If you can’t fire the GM the most impactful thing, the only thing that truly separates the mediocre teams from one another, is a great QB, and we don’t have one.

I’d just keep taking shots at QBs. Nothing else will do a damn thing.

I know not as a head coach.

Comment is less about what Jerry Jones actually does, but more about Broaddus even throwing out Jimmy's name like 'hey, this is where you start.' Broaddus is out of touch.

But even asking Jimmuh in general what should be done is dumb. If Larry Lacewell were still alive, Broaddus would probably suggest Jerruh's sage strategy should be consulting him for his 50-year old advice.

Right.

Much love to Jimmy but he’s like 80 and has been out of the game 25+ years.

Here’s a thought, Jerry.

Hire a god damn GM.

I dunno. To loose that way at home is bad. I don’t think anyone survives this and they shouldn’t.

I disagree. It's not Jerry's fault (and he has a lot of faults) that this team comes out flat in big games, in playoff games they should win.

We just out talent teams for the most part. When we go against teams with more talent we get our ass kicked. That's coaching.

We have more talent than Green Bay. We just got outcoached on both sides of the ball. Badly. That's on McCarty and Quinn. Bad schemes, bad playcalling, team not prepared at all, etc. That's not Jerry's fault today other than he hired these fucks.

Exactly, getting blown out like this is coaching and scheme.

I mean I get it from Babe's perspective. He lost a son to cancer. That game means absolutely nothing when you look at it that way.
Of course. You don't have to have lost a child to realize this is not life or death.

But they come off as made men who are above it all. It's tone deaf and not what fans who put a lot of money and time and energy into this silliness want to hear.

When Parcells came in things improved immediately and it was drastic. No reason why that can’t happen again with Bellichick. Jerry is desperate and Bellichick has something to prove. It makes a lot of sense

Mike McCarthy Press Conference

#1 we're disappointed. Nobody saw this coming. Gotta give Green Bay credit. They executed. We didn't. Yeah, we're hurting. We're disappointed. Every man.

Clearly the best thing they did coming in was the deep PA game. The protection was there. Able to buy time and extend plays. We gave up too many of them.

Q: Your job status
A: I think biggest thing is we're disappointed. I've got a whole team in the locker room that's hurting. I haven't thought past outcome

Q: What do you think about coming out flat.
A: We weren't flat. Just didn't get the stops. Turnovers, like I said, we did not play to our capabilities, the way we've been playing particularly at home.

A: Reality fo where we are. This si a hurtful loss. Put ourselves in position with home game. Had a great week of preparation. We matched up well. We picked a wrong day to have a bad day.

A: You're always trying to get QB into rhythm. Took longer than what I would've liked. Had the two turnovers that turned into points. Defense didn't stop them. We didn't get it done in any of the phases.

He's still around the game obviously.

Jerry ain't hiring a GM.

You guys are reading too much into it. Sure Broadus doesn't have a clue, but you think Jerry doesn't ask people around him what their thoughts are on different things? Just opinions, not making decisions.

The only reason I'd disagree is because I think if the defense is great and gives up say 17 he can possibly win in the postseason. You don't want to construct a team where he has to carry it though.

Unfortunately that's what we were down to this season.
Prescott is the reason we went down 14 points in the first quarter. Plus the overthrows to cooks. Time and time again he puts the team in the position they are in. Defense sucked too but championship QBs don’t turn the ball over constantly in the playoffs like this. He is too shaky when the pressure is on.

True, Parcells is a great coach. But you notice that Bill always took over terrible teams and made them competitive, which is all he did here. Getting over that hump from perennial playoff team to true contender is much tougher to do.

Florio has been floating Belichick in Dallas all week, and the fact that he threw out some random minority candidate like Morris makes me think it might have legs. Everybody is tying Belichick to Dallas now but of course Jerry will want there to be a plausible minority candidate floated as being under consideration.

It's way too on the nose to be random speculation.
