I haven't even given it much thought because, like an idiot, I expected them to come out prepared and ready to play in a home playoff game.

NFL insiders floated the idea that Belichick would be an option if the Cowboys flopped this weekend. Belichick wouldn't be my choice. I'd prefer the team to skew younger and get someone in here that's a bit more innovative. But Jerry is the type who prefers proven coaches, so we're probably going to be saddled with a retread of some sort.

Before the season started I said NFCCG or bust for McCarthy to return. His time is up.

I give him credit for making the team better than what Garrett was putting out there, but it's clear as day he's taken the team as far as he can take them.

I've been a huge McCarthy supporter but this is inexcusable.

If they want to fire him and get Belichick after this disaster, I'm all for it.
