I would go for it here. I'd rather have a chance to kill the game with the first down conversion then go up six and give them the ball back with plenty of time to score.

I don’t like it. Throw on 3rd down and then kick a FG that gets you beat if they score a TD. Plus the FG does nothing to take time off the clock. Ugh
