I mean it wasn't worst case scenario. But after nailing the first round pick it feels bad.

The fact they stuck so hard to the position instead of the talent available at the time just makes it an unforgiveable.

You know it is going to suck ass.

Yeah, I don't know why we couldn't just stick to the fourth round TE plan. It would have opened up thos draft so much for us.

He'll probably be about as good as Jake Ferguson, which is far less than ideal in the 2nd.

More like can he beat out Hendershot. I'm guessing Ferg and Shoe are sort of splitting much of the TE reps until one of them can pull away a little. I don't think we will have a lead dog TE. As much as we probably use multiple guys.

Doesn't sound appealing for a second round pick.

Exactly this.

And that's why I don't like us using a 2nd round pick, in a year when we have SB aspirations at that, on a guy like this.

You use that pick on a guy you expect to be a day 1 starter and Schoonmaker isn't that.

The real point is that the pick did not move the needle in terms of making this team better.

It would have been a nice pick later on, but this is a reach in anyone's book.
