Yeah, flaming pile of shit if going too far.

I enjoyed the cameos and the references to the first movie. I kinda think they should have gone with a comedian to play the role of Hakeem's son. Someone who would have added more laughs to the role.
Feh. Right now, movies are a commodity...not nearly as many are made.

And when they are sold like they are, they should be designated as flaming piles of shit.

Case in point, Wonder Woman 1984.

In a normal cycle, that movie gets ripped apart.

But now, since we are sitting at home etc., eh, it was okay.

Not to mention the quality of movies has been deteriorating at a steady rate for the last two decades.

Name your best movies since 2000.

Then compare to the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s.

Fired up Fast Times for the first time in forever.

Now I am sad.

Was Phoebe Cates of legal age in that movie? I hope so, otherwise I am an official pedo.

I am about to channel my inner Judge Reinhold when the time comes. I will even put on a pirate hat.
Boozemans kids, if you're reading this, stay clear of your dads bathroom!

I REPEAT, STAY CLEAR OF YOUR DADS BATHROOM!

Oh, they have their own upstairs. There should be no reason for them to want to use the guest one downstairs.

Speaking of Fast Times...I never noticed bit player Nicholas Cage before.

Lots of future stars and then other weird ones who just dropped out, like Cates.

Ya know, in reference to Jennifer Jason Leigh's character, she really made a lot of bad choices.

And a lot of it was at the advice of Cates' character.

But I guess if you looked at it with today's lens, it would somehow be Damone's fault she got knocked up.

Rape culture and shit.

I used to think it was cool that Mr. Hand was in My Favorite Martian. Nowadays that show is barely remembered. It's well before my time but I used to like it on reruns.

You have to also factor in that nostalgia tends to taint our opinion of modern entertainment. It's the same thing as with music where every generation swears the music was better back in their day.

Nice to see that some of you are now officially recognizing that you are entering the aging phase of your life even though you don’t think so. It won’t be too long that you will be checking out the latest in recliners. It comes at the blink of an eye.

Ah.

Settling down with one of my comfort movies.

One to appreciate and also doze off to.

Trading Places.

One of the movies that I would take to a desert island.

This movie was woke even back then. But I bet nobody would admit it.

They are remaking everything, why not remake something that was already addressed long algo?

Probably my fave Sean Penn role

A few years back a buddy and I were talking about how this was probably the first movie that introduced us to how your environment and financial support system greatly impacts your livelihood. Back when I first watched the movie I was too young to appreciate that it was a movie about a social experiment.

I remember a discussion about one of the Kardashian girls being celebrated as being the youngest "self-made" billionaire led us to talking about Trading Places. I'm pretty sure it was a lot easier to make that kind of money when your family's net worth was already well over $1 billion dollars and your name is already a global brand thanks to your older sisters. But hey, congrats for scoring the run after starting on 3rd base.

Avengers Endgame was really, really good. Superb.

Can you name a final movie or even TV show finale that wraps up a saga?

What made Endgame good?

Time travel is a really dumb and awfully convenient way to solve your movie's problems.

Also, no one seems to give a shit about all the other dimensions where Thanos won.
