They are building, but I don't want to have a "what they were doing before the outbreak" every episode. Same thing with Michonne last week.

I have seen this happen with good shows before (Lost).

The writers need to quit being full of themselves. Not everything has to be about the characters that people already acknowledge and like.

I liked tonight's episode. Different, but good.
Great episode if you are interested to hear backstory which honestly adds very little to either character.

At least previous episodes did more.

This looks like something they figured so they would have a throw away episode.

Not me. I like that we're are learning some background info on some of the main characters but they are dragging this out too long, IMO. Entire espisode's shouldn't be dedicated to founding out that Daryl is having a tough time coping with all the losses and that he pretty much roamed the land prior to the outbreak.

They should have condensed last night's episode and combined it with the one w/Carl and Michonne.

I'm about ready to say eff and give up on the series.

It definitely had the feel of a throw away episode. It's moving too damn slow.

They reintroduce Carol approx. three weeks ago and they completely go away from that story line. As soon as they get a little momentum they intentionally go in the opposite direction.

It's as if Jason Garrett & Bill Callahan are head of TWD writing and directing crew. Because they intentionally go away from what's working.

Finding out what Carol has been up to and her interaction with Tyrese would have been huge. We'll probably still get that but why wait a month later to address the issue.

I agree with big, I can't even keep my attention on the show during the whole hour because it can get so boring and predictable. The producers/AMC/writers/whoever basically know that it's a huge cash cow that people will keep tuning in to basically no matter what, as long as they throw some gratuitous violence in there, so they are just trying to milk the show for as much as it's worth while throwing in bullshit episodes like this one.

Hey, I love TD as much as the next guy, but

Would the show really be any different if Marty wasn't there? I mean, what does he even do? Coale has found pretty much every piece of evidence

He has the contacts. Otherwise, he's just there to get laid.
