@mcnuttz hit up Scofflaw brewery whenever you can. They have some really good IPAs.
Thanks for the recommendation, @vince

I haven't spent much time in ATL lately but will be up in a couple weeks and will try to make it over there.

On a whim I picked up a six pack of Yuengling Hershey's Porter. It's actually pretty good.

You can definitely taste the chocolate but it's not sweet. It tastes like normal beer just with some light hints of chocolate.

It's a solid holiday beer. 4/5 stars. Would recommend.

Sounds good!

Where are you finding the good beer in AUG?

Yuengling has never failed me.
My local Mexican restaurant usually runs specials on 32 oz Yuenglings, I'll probably get me a couple of those this evening.

I went to the Liquor Land next to Walmart in Grovetown.

I looked online before I went there and apparently it's a Kroger and a few other places as well. There was plenty in stock.

There used to be a really great beer store there in the little strip mall in Grovetown by Hula Dogs.

If you are in AUG, there's a place called Toast on Fury's Ferry Road....probably the best selection of beers you'll see in our local area.

We need to get together and drink some fine beverages, amigo.

That sounds good.

I'll have to give Toast a try. I'm always looking for new beers to try out.

I'm not sure if that beer store is still next to Hula Dogs. I get my hair cut in that same strip mall but don't recall seeing a liquor store.

You probably need to refresh the board's memory on the origin of this phrase.

Remember the radio interview I did during the CFR days? 2233 said something about his "local area" in that chatter thread during the interview and you jumped all over it. It has since just stuck.

Oh yeah, that's back when I was an overwhelmingly obnoxious jerk.

Frikkin @2233 boys, I sure miss that guy.

you boys like IPA's?
They're not my preference, but I drink them from time to time.

Actually after a few of them they start tasting a lot better.

They’re typically stronger than other beers

Sweetwater brewery out of ATL has sweetwater 420, I order it anytime I see it on tap. The first drink is a little sour but it gets good quick.

Sweetwater 420 is 5.9% ABV.

Try Stone IPA, 6.9% ABV. Hoppy and strong.
