Well, that sounds pretty much like a death sentence to me, even considering he can afford the best treatment because pancreatic cancer does not play nice in the advanced stages and he's no kid. A shame, he hosts the only game show that doesn't bore me to tears.

Alex Trebek announced on Wednesday he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

The 78-year-old ‘Jeopardy!’ host shared the news in a video message. Trebek said he was diagnosed earlier this week.

Pancreatic cancer is pretty much assured death, but actually his age helps, the older the person the cancer progresses slower.

Did not know that. My uncle had it but he was gone within 5 weeks. He was in his 60s though.

I read this morning that Alex Trebek is near remission, tumors have shrunk by 50%. Highly unusual, but great news.

Saw that on the news a little while ago, good deal. He's probably got the best care available too.
