I've never met anyone who likes dealing with any governmental bureaucracy and their venom is infinite compared to what I hear about insurance companies

There are Facebook pages here in Dallas devoted to trying to find the simplest way to get a Drivers License renewed because the wait times are hours and people apparently show up at 6 am to try to be first in line. People are actually driving 1+ hours away to small towns to get their licensing issues addressed.

(FYI-these are for issues that require you to come to the DMV, not simpler renewals that can be done online)

If they can't streamline something as simple as a drivers license, then why the fuck am I supposed to trust them with health care?

Its not that I don't like the idea of a beautifully run nationalized system in theory but that shit never works, did we learn nothing from the horrific conditions people lived under in the USSR?

Something gets fucked up when there is no personal responsibility or upside. I am a builder in Dallas and every time I go to get permits, its a fight with a "no factory" if I want to do anything creative because its easier for them to ban everything and avoid potential blowback than actually think outside the box and consider new and better ways of doing things. I think many of these folks get to a point where they're simply holding on for dear life until they can reach early retirement.

That's whats so weird about this, every Dem nominee is running as a flatout gun-grabbing, open borders, socialist in an election where if they just ran as a centrist they'd cruise to a victory
I think this countries politics have become so insane and divisive that only self absorbed lunatics with a whiff of masochism are willing to endure the process of attempting to become president.

Who in their right mind wants this friggin job and the never ending scrutiny that comes with it?

The guy who owns Starbucks sounded like he was gonna run and seemed reasonable but then he apparently was run out of dodge by all the people that like to demonize so called "rich" people. There may be valid reasons not to support him but the notion that someone is rich disqualifies them is absurd. Thats a great quality to bring to the table provided they truly care about the country as they have the potential to be free from influence by other peoples money

~SIGH!~

The hole thing seems so hopeless and beyond repair

He should have ignored the social media crowd that went after him and I bet he'd be leading right now, it's ridiculous that our choice boils down to Trump or Marx

I just don't see how normal, run of the mill people can hear a comment like this and EVER consider voting for someone like this, for any office.

It's unbelievable someone could even say that and not feel like a horrific human. The sad thing is most people probably don't even know she said shit like that. I would have had no idea if I didn't come on here.

That’s a big part of it. The national media has done well enough with their selective coverage you won’t see it. The media wants Warren as the candidate because the Dem party wants it, and the Dems control the media. They know she is the only candidate that stands a chance against the bad orange man. What they haven’t gave tired in is there will be debates in the main election and Trump will pick her apart on things like this. She doesn’t stand a chance.

These people don't have a damn clue. The debt is already catastrophically out of control and likely impossible to ever repay yet this dip-shit thinks we can easily buy back all these weapons. I am taking a 6 week class offered by the local DEA here in Dallas and we went to the shooting range last Saturday and shot Glock pistols and a Semiautomatic rifle. So I asked one of the instructors if this was the gun everyone is flipping out about and he said yes and there are over 7 million of them in this country.

From what I gather online and depending upon how the rifle is spec'd, it could have cost the gun owner anywhere from $600 to $2,600

So if we say the average cost per gun of the buy back is $1,000 per gun, It would cost $7 billion just for the guns then the cost of disposal, the cost to forcibly remove them from unwilling participants, the cost of prosecution and incarceration for those who don't comply and then there will be a cost in lives from both sides as surely some police and some gun owners would be killed in the process. Then they have to continue to enforce the law which will be an ongoing cost and burden to what appears to be overwhelmed and understaffed police in virtually every city.

I think we need to think more deeply, creatively and intelligently about how to solve the problem of the extremists who abuse weapons vs banishment and buy-backs but that doesnt seem possible these days because everyone is so polarized and the political environment has gotten so strident and adversarial that no sane person wants to enter that arena.

Its really discouraging, I think we could do so much better and deserve better but people would rather fight over mundane shit versus taking the time to actually try to find non-political, intelligent strategies to address issues in the country and on this planet.

Warren is completely opposed to nuclear energy but there are ways to mitigate the concerns of the past as most plants are operating on decades old technology. Bill Gates is funding a program to utilize the spent fuel that is piling up in Tennessee so it can be used in much safer, newly designed nuclear plants that solve environmental concerns and dispose of the spent fuel. He had a deal with China to begin making these new units but Trump started the trade war and at present stopped that from going forward. A 14 year old kid built a nuclear reactor in his garage and came up with the clever idea of miniaturized nuclear plans that utilize spent fuel as well and are so small and self contained that even if there was a problem, the amount of radiation that could potentially be leaked would not be an issue; these could be placed around the planet providing cheap energy to virtually everyone yet I am sure this is going no where because of politics and lobbyists for other energy sources that don't want competition. Virtually everyone else is ignorant on the topic and therefore so fearful that it's never even discussed as a valid option but it should at the very least be on the table for discussion (imho).

And here's Bernie dumbass recent "brilliant" remarks:

I seriously doubt he has ever had a job for any significant length of time that was dependent upon actually creating a product or service the public must desire to purchase and knows the kind of hard work involved to remain competitive yet he has the audacity to believe he knows how to spend every one elses money. People like this make me sick. It would be great if human beings were so extrinsically motivated that amazing things would happen by everyone devoting their life to service to the others but thats not the real world, ain't ever gonna happen and we have plenty of examples from the USSR to show us how pitiful a system enforced upon the masses is, yet he and others still want to chase this non-existent utopia.

Gawd help the planet if people of this ilk ever get what they want in this country

Where do we escape to when there is no longer a USA with free speech, free markets, etc?

That number is way low, The last estimate I saw couple months ago was 15million and the number is rising daily. I have quite a few now plus still have a bunch of lowers I haven't got to building out yet
