I know it sounds crazy but I swear Kamala Harris is speaking in a definitely more ghetto accent in this debate versus earlier ones.
She is panderer for sure. Terrible. Beto is a nut he wins the nomination (which I doubt) with his confiscation line last night, Trump wins for sure. Biden's teeth almost fell out once. That guy is a joke.

Did she throw out a "know what I mean"?

I once thought that Trump's election was a "blessing" merely for keeping Hillary out of office but that he would be a trainwreck and on top of it all, he'd turn people off so much that he'd have no chance at re-election.

But if you could set aside most of his horrible rhetoric and a handful of issues where he's had not-good optics (the family separation issue, for example), he's

a) kind of killing it for a first term, and
b) given the Democratic field of candidates, it seems like he has a ridiculously good chance to get re-elected despite how much the left despises him.

If you eat meat you are part of the problem? Wants to nationalize the energy industry? Looks like they have one foot in the grave? Is a contemptible Hillary-clone shrew? How are these front runners possibly going to be elected?

I used to think Biden would be a sure thing to go toe-to-toe with Trump, probably embarass him in a debate, and defeat him at his own game (being a loudmouth and insulting his way to a win). But Biden looks absolutely spent. I'm not sure he has the acuity and quickness of wit to debate anyone right now.

Buttigieg is a clown, he's not for real. Way too fringe.

Sanders cannot win. He can't carry the heartlands. Socialism. He's for it. That's still a bad word in most of the country. That simply will not carry Florida, Ohio, probably not even Pennsylvania.

Warren maybe has the least amount of obvious flaws; she's a Hillary clone without the obvious criminal negatives. But she's also way further left than Hillary and comes from academia. I'm not sure she can carry the populist flag enough, she's an elitist through and through. She's so boring, I'm not sure that's good enough either.

Harris and Booker are floundering because they simply don't have the goods, at least not yet.

This is shaping up to be a disaster for Democrats.

If Trump gets re-elected, he may appoint 3 more Supreme Court Justices too.

I'll tell you what, if Trump wanted to ensure his re-election, he would, in his final year, push for further prison reform and marijuana legislation (legalization or decriminalization on a federal level). Man, he would lock it in at that point.

And for what it's worth, I'm not convinced Hillary doesn't swoop in at some point early next year and throw her hat back into the ring. A la what Republicans thought Mitt Romney was going to do to save them from Trump.

Hillary must be thinking that she could beat these clowns.

She'd re-position herself as the centrist, but get extra votes for being a woman, and she'd probably be able to win Pennsylvania this time, since that state won't go for the unknown of Trump again, most likely, unless the Democratic candidate is crazy. Which Hillary won't be.

If he gets pot legalized at the federal level he won't even have to campaign to win.

He's such a populist too.... yet he's also being advised heavily by Federalist, libertarian types. He just fired Bolton, a member of the hawk-ish, old school, law and order neocon class.

He clearly is not counting on needing to win over the traditional hard-line right. They voted for him once and have lined up behind his soft overtures to North Korea and other non-traditional neocon stances. He knows that the right is slowly moving towards libertarianism anyway, and he knows the evangelicals and law and order types will support him anyway, because they always will, because "any Democrat is worse." He might lose some of the centrist military types who would go for a centrist Clinton over him, as they did in the last election, but he didn't need it.

Decriminalizing marijuana is SUCH a Trump move. I don't get why he hasn't pounced on it yet.

I think it is all about timing. Not that I agree with waiting for political reasons, but I'm betting he is waiting until closer to the election.

I hope so.

Frankly I'm betting there is some reason that I can't figure out, and he just never will do it.

I don’t think he will even raise the issue of Pot. It would be a big turn off for a large part of the country. Malnly the Midwest Bible Belt States. He probably wouldn’t challenge the issue though if it were raised however. Either way would be a safe move for him.

I don't think it would be a big enough turn off to cause him to lose their votes.

Especially now when the alternatives are all gun-grabbing socialists

You may have forgotten how avid some Christians can be about certain topics. The fundamentalists would definitely have a staunch position and would just withdraw from voting because they felt compelled to make their position known. Withdrawing from the Presidential vote would make a statement and at the same time not vote for a liberal candidate. I also think some conservative Christians would do the same. I am in touch with a lot of individuals in the Christian community and although they would not support a liberal candidate the would probably just withdraw rather than support a Candidate who actively supported the legalization of Pot. That’s just the way it is.

Still there are many many that would still vote for Trump if he were actively supporting the legalization. So take it for what it is but my opinions are based on my personal experiences with the Christain Community.

If I didn't have to pay out the ass for health insurance I might love it but lets be honest. I'll still have to pay out the ass, it will just come in the form of taxes.

And quality of care would be equivalent to the DMV

what an incredible combination of stupidity, arrogance and lack of real world common sense she displays. I'd vote for just about any rational human in the hope the national dialogue can quit being distracted by all things Trump but if she became the Dems candidate, Trump would get my vote, she sounds horrific!

That's whats so weird about this, every Dem nominee is running as a flatout gun-grabbing, open borders, socialist in an election where if they just ran as a centrist they'd cruise to a victory
