More kneejerk reporting by the media. The mentality of reporters now seems to be a goal of sensationalism first and bias reporting. This is a very good tool for getting keyed up people to react the way the hope they will. It’s working well.

Some of the finest police work you'll ever see. Wow. Such heroism by these officers.

Anyway, it was three officers in Missouri searching a stage 4 cancer patient's hospital room for pot.

Stage 4 cancer patient says Missouri police searched his hospital room for marijuana

The officers involved said it's all part of the job, but the small Bolivar Police Department is now facing complaints.

Nolan Sousley is fighting Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and was in the middle of a chemotherapy treatment at Citizens Memorial Hospital.

Police said they responded to a call about a smell of marijuana coming from the hospital Wednesday night. When officers entered Sousley's room, he and his family members started recording on their phones.

The video, streamed live to Facebook, shows a group of police officers searching bags sitting on a nearby bed. A doctor later shows up and asks the family to stop recording.

Sousley said Friday he felt violated and is tired of being attacked when he's just trying to save his own life.

Missouri voters approved medical marijuana last year, but it isn't legal to use yet. The state isn't taking applications for patient ID cards until July, and doctors can't certify patients for medical marijuana use until June.

Ultimately, the officer found CBD oil, which is legal. Officers didn't write any tickets.

Bolivar City Attorney Donald Brown said the city and the police chief are investigating the incident. Bolivar police said the department is getting threats since the video has been shared nearly 7,000 times on Facebook.

The hospital issued the following statement:
"Unfortunately, due to HIPAA, we are unable to comment about any specific patient, their treatment or what was done or not done in any particular situation. Generally speaking, it is against the hospital's policy to smoke or vape on the hospital's campus. It is also our policy to call appropriate law enforcement any time hospital personnel see or reasonably suspect illegal drug use in patient rooms or otherwise on campus."

They are cowardly cunts afraid to do real police work?
Spoken like someone who is around these individuals all the time and knows their motivations well. Or is it spoken like someone who has built in biases and automatically thinks the worst case scenario about anyone who is in law enforcement.

[h=1]School Cop Who Received Oral Sex From A Child Won’t Have To Register As Sex Offender[/h] A police officer in the Houston Independent School District has pleaded guilty to the sexual molestation of a 14-year-old student while working at the Cullen Middle School in 2015.

The officer, 30-year-old Jacob Ryan Delgadillo, acceptedtheplea deal that will have him serve only 5-years probation and not require him to register as a sex offender. The deal stipulates that if he completes his probation without incident, he will have the conviction removed from his permanent record. But if he were to violate the terms of his parole, he faces going to jail for 20 years.

People that know the teenager told the authorities the girl said she had performed oral sex on the police officer while on school property. The 14-year-old victim later confessed to a teacher that she did have sexual contact with the police officer. An investigation into the student’s allegations led to the arrest of the officer in question.

Teachers became suspicious of the interaction between the police officer and the student after observing the officer blowing kisses to the teen through a classroom window.

That’s pretty devious and rotten. I have no respect for law enforcement that uses their position as a platform to bully and mistreat the public. Having said this I am of the opinion these types are a small group.

Yes and no.

It all depends on what demographic pool comprises the police force.

When I was growing up in a relatively small urban area, it was pretty noticeable when the bullies and dipshits we all knew in high school ended up in law enforcement.

But comparing the area you grew up in was by your own description being small might constitute a high percentage there however It would be fractional in the overall scheme of things in my opinion. At least I would like to think so.
