Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart passes away at 63.

There goes another part of my childhood. Next they'll tell me Brett the Hitman Hart gets pinned for a final time.

It’s weird just seeing my childhood heroes aging. I was watching Tiger’s News conference yesterday, and even he looks old in the face.

It makes you come to grips with your own mortality.

Has anyone been checking out the WWE documentaries that A&E has been airing? They are really well done.

I've caught three of them so far. The ones on Andre the Giant, Stone Cold, and Owen Hart.

They've got a couple on Rowdy Roddy Piper and Macho Man Randy Savage airing this week.

I just finished watching the Roddy Piper one. One of the funnier stories in the documentary was about how Piper started a riot by insulting Mexicans and the Guerrero Family. He told everyone that he was sorry for insulting the Guerreros and asked for everyone to stand so that he could play Mexico's national anthem as a peace offering. Well he gets on his bagpipes and instead of playing the national anthem he starts playing La Cucaracha. :lol All hell broke loose at that point.

Also, they told a story of how he'd worked the heel angle so well that he was actually stabbed by deranged fans on 3 different occasions. One of the incidents resulted in him being stabbed in the heart. Docs said another inch or so and he would have been killed.

Edit: Just did some research and he wasn't stabbed in the heart. It was an inch from the heart. During the documentary they mentioned that when he was stabbed in the chest (by the heart) that blood was squirting out like water from a water gun with every heartbeat. So he had to put his thumb over the knife wound until they reached the hospital.

Are you talking about the Beyond the Ring or some shit like that?

I caught the end of the Von Erich episode and would really like to go back and watch it.

The Bruiser Brody looks like a good one, too.

No. These are brand new biographies produced by A&E. They did features on 8 wrestlers.

Here's a clip from the Stone Cold episode.

CM Punk returned last night with AEW.

Got a huge pop. Haven't seen that in years.

This was good.

Lame.

If it is too hard, then you sir are not quite the historian you are presenting yourself to be.

Think I can hang with anyone here if we are talking the history of pro rasslin;

Grew up watching Gorgeous George, Mr. Moto, Wild Red Berry,

Damn, this one stings....

He and Flair are #1 and #2 on my most iconic and influential wrestlers list.

I have always been a huge Scott Hall fan.

RIP, legend.
