So happy with him. It looks like being on a winning team has rejuvenated him.

I knew the Astros were going to get Verlander because of their ties, but I felt all along that Scherzer was the better pitcher with more left in the tank at this point in their careers.

I think the Rangers were very smart to target him out of the available Mets pitchers.

I still think Verlander is the better pickup for the 2023 season.

Beyond this year it's very close. Both guys have been great the last few years and show no signs of slowing down.

I hope the playoff brackets allow for an Astros/Rangers ALCS matchup.

I know the Orioles have been great but I'd much rather see the Texas teams go at it. There'd be a lot more vitriol and intensity in that series.

I don't. We dont play well in Houston and I think the playoff experience for Houston would prove too much at least for this year.

I must have looked at an outdated rule. It measured at 75% of teams games. Reading here Seager just needs 23 more plate appearances to qualify. Will have the BA lead and OPS lead.

The same guy from that tweet that you posted mentioned that Franco just signed a 12 year deal in Nov 2021.

I assume there is some type of detriment to the league language in contracts that allow teams to void contracts in criminal situations.
