Well I will be a Phillies fan for the series for what it's worth.

The Yankees and Indians are out. That's all I care about.

He's probably right. The Astros are really good.
I expect the Astros to win but I do think the Phillies have a real shot.

Of all the team sports, baseball is the one that has the most lower seed champions because there's no other sport where you see teams have success by just clicking almost overnight as soon as they get into the playoffs.

I mean, who had the Braves winning last year?

The Phillies are real hot and those teams are dangerous. So while I think the Astros will win, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Phillies pulled it off.

The funny thing is, despite the Astros being so experienced I don't recall the last couple of World Series teams looking as confident as this one does.

It's going to be very difficult for the Phillies to take 4 from them.

Well, spoke too soon.

Damn, Verlander was looking like he was going to have his best WS outing of his career and now he's looking like the average WS pitcher he's always been.

It's all mental at this point.

What in the world is Dusty Baker waiting for?

If they lose the lead, this loss will be on Baker.

It's very clear that Verlander is done and he never even should have started the inning, but to leave him out there with 2 guys on and no outs?

That's just downright dumb.

What a humongous managing blunder by Dusty Baker.

Just wow.

And he's still leaving him out there!

:lol

My God.

This is one of the worst displays of managing I've ever seen in a WS.

This is right up there with an exhausted Pedro Martinez being sent out another inning against the Yankees in the 2003 ALCS.

Easily the two worst examples of playoff managing that I can recall.
