ISU vs Tech:

Both went 2 and 1 when facing WVU, OSU, and TCU.

Both offenses put up a combined 92 points in the three games and both defenses allowed a combined 73 points.

Both teams final score vs TCU was 17 to 14.

ISU started with a Sr. qb, and is on their third string.

No but that young quarterback they have is pretty bad ass in his own right
I State can compete with most teams. They are a fundamentally strong squad. Not flashy but ball passesion keeps them in games and slows a flashy teams sometime to the point of frustrating them into turn overs. The program is definitely elevating itself.

They are a bitch to play at their house recently.

We will find out a lot about this Tech team today. ISU is a tough team with a tough defense. If we can pull this one out I will have a small bit of hope for a decent bowl game this year. I still won't have full faith in Kliff as a HC but it would go a long way.

Since when can you be out of the end zone and get a touchback on a kickoff?

It is weird seeing Tech play a tough fought gam and still be in it.

I think I pointed out this new rule during the summer. It's weak as hell, IMO. It practically eliminates a key strategy that teams use on ST. Those moon shot/pooch kickoffs were an important component of a lot of teams' ST strategy. Now that you can simply fair catch at the 5 and still get the ball at the 25 yard line, there's really no point in kicking it short of the endzone.

Yeah, that’s retarded.

Florida State is such a trash program now. Willie Taggert's ass is so gone after the season. For his sake I hope he rented and didn't buy.

Hakeem Butler from Iowa State looks like he could play on Sundays. Every time I've watched an Iowa State game he's been impressive.

I don't think he's a #1 WR but I think he has a future as a solid #2 or #3 receiver.
