I’m drunk and high but I’ve warmed to the trade. Copper goes for 200 and 4 scores against Tennessee.

I dunno, the trade is kind of growing on me some after some knee jerk reactions to giving up a first. I still don't see him as a WR1 and I still don't see this as a season saving move but maybe the trade ends up working out. Still doesn't address OL or QB play with the latter being more of a concern.

So, who does Dallas draft at TE in the second round? That's a mix of sarcasm and a serious question.

It's stunningly retarded to decide in October that you are taking a WR in the 1st.

Absolutely, you have no idea who is going to be around at your draft pick yet. And the first round isn't the only place to find a stud WR.

Under normal circumstances I would agree but if the organization still feels like they are going to make a run at the division championship then it makes sense to borrow on next season to get what is needed immediately.

Should be contacting Saban about replacing Garrett.

Five days into this trade and I just can't convince myself that it's a good move to any extent. A first round pick just seems more and more foolish every time I think about it.
I keep thinking about all the needs we have on offense (sounds weird saying that) and how we're gonna have to watch the first round go by without participating. All those difference makers we'll never bring in. And you know the Eagles and other rivals and contenders will be adding to their already-loaded rosters.
All this for Amari Cooper
Really?

its done and over now. We're not getting the pick back. Best to hope for an improved record and a playoff berth.

It's best to hope we don't win another game after Jerry traded his 1st to help Garrett.

If it works, it works. And it will prove to be the right move. But if Dak can't make anything happen with Cooper then I think going 5-11 would be the slap in the face Jerry deserves

Again, if Cooper holds onto catches this trade is a no-brainer. Incredible that he was actually available.

Inaccurate passes make some misses count as drops to statisticians, so we’ll mainly have to trust our eyes on Cooper’s actual skill.
