Nobody is saying Jackson is amazing or anything, but it's not even remotely a stretch to say he might be better Scarbrough (whom I personally like as a prospect).
either one of these two is below Zeke and Rod, so their contribution/impact will be pretty modest at best.

I'm not so sure Scar isn't a better pure runner than Rod. But Rod sort of has that jack of all trades that helps him as a backup.

I liked Smith, frankly, and see little more use for more than one more back.

Bottom line one is they are all the same guy. A changeout of fresh legs to keep Zeke primed.

None of them are going to be worth talking about much, unless the start using Scarborough as a TD siphon in fantasy leagues. I could give a crap.

It’s all about Zeke and keeping him fresh.

I’m much more intrigued if they can turn Austin into an Eric Metcalf type threat as a major change in style for defenses to figure out.

Rod and Bo are not the same type runner at all.

For all intents and purposes they are.

They are backup three-down backs.

They aren't scat backs or fullbacks, they are fringe players who interchangeably fill a backup role behind Zeke.

They are not the same at all, and if our coaching staff was worth a damn, Bo would be used like a bruiser complement to Zeke. Rod cannot fill that role. Bo can. They are different type backs.

Of course I'm not saying they're exactly the same, but they may as well be.

You only have so many roster spots, so to earn PT these guys must learn to be effective on all three downs. The days of Pete Johnson lining up in the backfield as a short yardage specialist are over, Hell, the days of the traditional fullback are almost over.

As both are young and somewhat unproven, they will also probably also have to contribute at least some time on ST's.

By the way, this notion of Bo being a power back and Rod not... Rod is 6' 3" 231 while Bo is 6'2" 235.

Bo will get a big dose of carries in the preseason, so we will soon see how his game translates to the NFL. And how he might fit this offense.
