Has there been any speculation of that happening?

Translation: We are going to slap him with the second round tender to be cheap and hope someone bites.

If we don't draft Vea with our first pick Bennie Logan would be a good pick up. I know he's not as dynamic and we want the young stud. But if they whiff on him Logan may be an affordable run stuffer.
Vea won’t last to our pick, but even if he does Marinelli is going to butt rape us with the quick twitch crap.

You really shouldn't use butt rape and quick twitch in the same sentence.....

With that being said its a 0% chance of happening for us. The better debate is if we will even show up to his workouts.

I actually hope he is gone by our pick. That way some other talented player gets pushed down to us and no one can bitch when we don't take him.

A guy who could play the NT spot in our defense though and seems like a perfect fit is Harrison Phillips. I don't know if he makes it to our second round pick. I could see him making it there though and talk about a perfect fit for our defense. The guy had over 100 tackles this past year at a NT for Stanford. The guy is like the poster boy for having a good motor. He isn't massive at like 6'3" 303 but I'm sure he could get into the 315 range in the NFL. But he is a monster against the run. He isn't going to wow you with his pass rush ability but he isn't a slug either.

If I had to pick someone who would be perfect in Dallas it would be that guy. I think he will slip on draft day but I don't know if it will be far enough for the Cowboys to consider him.

He doesn't even have to be a pass rush specialist. Just be solid against the run and occupy OL on pass plays, and let those DEs eat.

Wondering about DaRon Payne and Christian Wilkins. Neither is as dominant as Vea, but they're both pretty balanced as far as stopping the run and getting the pressure from inside.

You're probably right. And honestly that's a shame. Passing on a physical freak of nature just because he doesn't fit Marinelli's mold.

Isn't Wilkins going back or did I hear that wrong?
