How much is guaranteed?

Edit: I did a search and it's $65M guaranteed, not sure how I feel about that. If his production is steady, fine.

This along with the earlier post means it is a deal tha team can get out of after three years. That’s doable. At least the drama of this one is over. Now who causes issues Dak, Zeke or Amari?

I think the Elliott deal will be the hardest.

It is not like RBs in this league often have the status of being the backbone of their offense. There really is no starting point.

That will be a big thing in his court.

Prescott will get his because he has been deemed the face. But quite honestly, he is not what is driving the train at the moment.

He just has to play to 29. The only way that doesn't happen is if he lets the money go to his head. Which is always the concern with a big guaranteed amount.

21 mil a year isn't bad at all. The guarantee is clearly how we got him off the 23 -24 mil I believe he wanted.

Now he can go ahead and get his surgery done. He and Quinn should be a nice tandem.

Yeah that looks like a pretty excellent tandem. Guys that are excellent pass rushers without being specialists. They can both play all 3 downs. Lets us keep Crawford at 3 technique where he is best.

we'll draft another 3T and we should be in good stead.

This is a fair market value deal. I guessed he'd get around 20 AAV and 60-65 guaranteed, so I think this is pretty fair all around considering what Trey Flowers and Dee Ford got. The fact that we can get out of it after 3 years if necessary is positive.

As far as the DL in general, I wouldn't be surprised if Crawford continued to start at DE. Crawford/Woods/Collins is strong in base packages against the run, then you bring Quinn in of course in nickel/dime and move Crawford inside, which accounts for probably 60% or so of total snaps to begin with.

As far as the other guys needing contracts, all I hope for is that we don't set the market for guys like Cooper. In no world does he deserve to be the highest paid WR in the league, so Beckham's 18 AAV is his ceiling in my mind, and he should be happy with about 17 AAV.

That's what gets to me a little but if Dallas can get out of it after three years if he doesn't maintain his level of play or becomes a headache, fine.

The whole system is getting completely absurd. Do you realize that some of these contracts are close to paying a player about One and a half million dollars a game? And that’s for a go all the way season.

Yeah I mean thats always the concern. Some players will play their asses off because they want to win and have a passion for the game. Which I think is Lawrence just because of the way he plays the game on Sundays. Dude has a mean streak to him. But some guys need the motivation of earning the big dollars. And once they do the game becomes less important. That's the fear with a contract like this that guarantees so much money. But you should know the player well enough by now.

I hope you're wrong. Crawford is too slow at DE and teams are able to break contain on him too easily. Even on "run downs" we would be better served with him inside. Besides in todays NFL first and second down are passing downs. Plus with hurry up offenses its way too hard to rotate guys in and out when the offense can see a weakness out there. Quinn on the other hand is a big and athletic RE.

Hope he's willing to take a reasonable deal, especially after he kinda saw how we went to the mattresses for him with Goodell.

Yeah his deal is difficult. Great player but how much longer will he play at this level? And honestly he badly needs his workload reduced with a legit second RB.

Really? :lol These guys destroy their bodies and minds in this game. They are UNDERPAID, and fucked by a bullshit hard salary cap system. A baseball player can go out there and scratch his dick for 75% of a game and gets 400+ million. Football players get fucked by the owners somehow more than any other major sport. It is sickening.

:lol

I'd say NFL players are pretty far from being "fucked"

For a person who hates rich people with a passion this seems like an odd position for you.
