Rod Marinelli has no plans on stepping away as Cowboys coordinator even as it appears that passing game coordinator Kris Richard will return after the Miami Dolphins have zeroed in on New England’s Brian Flores as their next head coach. Marinelli, who turns 70 in July, and Richard split part of the play calling responsibilities during the season. “Why would I do that?” Marinelli said of retirement. “Why are people asking me the same question? I can’t figure it out. Can somebody tell me why everybody asks me that? I would tell you, wouldn’t I? My age? You got to be kidding me. Every day, you ever see me come out and not be energized and ready to play? So why ask me that? I’m tired of answering that.”

So help him step away and fire his ass. He can help Linehan pack since he has so much energy.
